Osimhen Is A Deadly Striker -Cannavaro

Former Italy defender, Fabio Cannavaro has described Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen as a deadly striker.

The Ballon d’Or winner stated this in an interview with TribalFootball, where he rated that chances of Napoli in winning the Scudetto title this season.

Recall Napoli currently sit top of the Serie A table on 21 points and the Nigerian international has netted four goals in the league.

He said: “This Napoli are solid. They can win the Scudetto. But beware of the two sides from Milan.

“Spalletti’s team look like a wall at times and have different solutions. [Victor] Osimhen was thought to be a crazy horse, but in the box he knows how to hurt the opponents.

“Never rule out Juventus, they know how to manage the difficult moments and will be able to return.”

Frankly speaking, the more Osimhen’s abilities are showcased and talked about by World renowned football pundits, the more closer he gets to winning the World best striker, even the ballon. Osimhen has speed and very quick to the ball, these forming part of his uniqueness. Besides, Osimhen’s composure is the major undoing of any defence. Though he has a good accuracy, I would like him to work on consistency because he availed himself an opportunity to score a brace during the last CAR vs SE in Douala, having displaced the opposing defence, a nice looping and completely lost Samola to the ball but that effort was flaoted. If we constantly have a fit Osimhen in the the Super Eagles, with Troost, Balogun, Ebuehi, Ejuke, Chukweize(may he recover soonest) Nigerian fans could just go to bed knowing well there will be positive outcome be it vs Senegal, Algeria, Egypt, SA or and Ghana. A friend just called why didn’t I add CAR to the list, I told him CAR is immaterial substance. God bless Nigeria.

When is Osimhen’s next match, cns. I always like watching him.

But Osimhen needs to improve on his overall finishing as he is usually too much in a hurry to score that he tends to miss gaping goal scoring chances as it happened against CAR in Cameroon when his goal bound shot was cleared off the line because he failed to look up so as to know the position of the defender before kicking the ball after rounding up the goal keeper.

Ah ah aboki my friend, they don use your handle too? Ok exactly why I said he needs consistency. As you would have watched, Osimhen squandered that very opportunity otherwise he would have had a brace in Douala. By and large, only a handful strikers would compete with him right now. Napoli’s next match comes up on Sunday, let’s keep our fingers crossed. God bless Northern/Southern Nigeria.

Nigeria need talented attacking Midfielder, tireless one and we can get it in local league if not corupt nff and bribe. Nigeria don’t have creative Midfielder that can hold ball and create chances, is not Owobi or chidera. Local poor coach should stop picking under17 for us because they like bribe. If Amunike is a poor man, he won’t pick Osimeh and chukwueze. I hope nff ndi oshi will get good attacking Midfielder before world cup.

Whatever it is, they must ensure Liberia is beaten next month and Nigeria is good for it. Good luck Napoli and Victor Osimhen.

We thank God for Osimhen. We thank God for Nigerian professionals the world over who excel in their calling. It can never be all bad news with Nigeria.

We fervently pray for more Osimhens in the SE!

  • Rapheal onyedika is maturing into a fine central midfielder.
The boy might just be a major assest for Nigeria.
I watched some of his video clips and I was impressed.
He has good height, good ball control, great passing especially long passing, defensive abilities, good skills. All he needs now is experience and exposure which he is getting at his Norwegian club.
But I tell you if he continues to improve he will be sold to a bigger club in no time at all.
