‘Osimhen Is Phenomenal’ – Cagliari Coach Mazzarri

Cagliari head coach Walter Mazzarri says Victor Osimhen is a phenomenal striker, following his five-star display in Napoli’s 2-0 win on Sunday.

Osimhen scored (his fourth league goal of the season) and had a hand in Napoli’s second goal after he was fouled leading to a penalty.

The win saw Napoli reclaim top position from Inter Milan who were held to a 2-2 draw by Atalanta on Saturday.

And reflecting on the game and Osimhen performance, Mazzarri told DAZN:”Osimhen is phenomenal, because he runs alone at five players and gets through.

“If you look at genuine scoring opportunities, compared to the number Napoli created lately, I didn’t see that many.

“We intentionally kept a deep defensive line, because if we pushed higher like the other teams, we’d concede four or five like they did with Osimhen able to run into space. Obviously, Napoli had more possession and attacked more, but this was an intentional approach.

“It has been difficult to make many changes, because I arrived before the midweek round, so we basically had more games than training sessions.”

  • No team dares to play a high line against Napoli this season because that would give osimhen hectares of space to feast on with his electric pace.

  • Another goal, another man of the match performance. Keep doing what your doing Victor. Working hard and scoring goals. I see you challenging for the top goals scorer award this season if all goes well. Congratulations bro. You did good

”Osimhen is phenomenal, because he runs alone at five players and gets through”

This statement from Mazzarri typifies the player victor osimhen. 1-man riot squad. 1 striker who can keep an entire back 4 of any team busy for 90 mins.

    Osimhen is truly phenomenal.

I pray he keeps his head down and keep working hard.

Onyekuru was your X-factor player. You quickly jumped ship to Osimhen the moment he couldn’t make the grades at Monaco. You are late already. We’ve been rooting for Osimhen since his days in the u17 when he broke the U17 World cup scoring records scoring in every game and ending with a record 10 goals in a single tournament.

Insigne beginning to give some love to OSIMENEGOALS. Just how it should be. And Osimene truly enjoying the moment. Can bet it out, we haven’t seen half of the inherent ability of Osimene yet. Watching this talent yesterday, I saw something new, that I could only echo…whaoo; Osimene running with the ball with such phenomena speed,dribbling/buldozing opposing defenders on his way to goal. THIS CRAZINESS IS WHAT DEFINES THE FEW THAT BELONGS TO THE CREAM; G.O.A.T. If Osimene can continue in this trajectory, he is sure gonna be one. And not forgetting to mention that boy Insigne, many may not like him, but here is some special talent; the oil/engine. Now he n the others have kinda agree to play with Osimene, Napoli will surely be the team to beat in the whole of Europe pretty soon, especially going by the way they are playing at the moment. Another 1or 2 years together as a team, other teams around Europe will find Napoli a real real frightening opponent. We might just about to see Italy’s version of the great Barcelona team era.

    • Omooo dis one dey craze with stupid talk no be only Barcelona of Italy na Barcelona of Agege.Osimehn is going to be a Legend period all this epistle is nonsense.

Because of this great talent Osigoal, I’m sure Italian league is now relevant in Nigeria. In fact most Nigerians are now Napoli fans. I too go love this guy call Osigoal right from under 17 days. In fact when he was at Wolfsburg, I kept praying because I was dying silently when he was not playing. I will come online to try and get some news about but I will not until he moved to chaileri in Belgium and I had a relief. When he moved to Lille in France it was wow. I really his first game coming on for that guy who got injured just around 25mins of play that gave room for my one and only Osigoal to come in earlier and scared two goals. That was how my guy made the no9 his own even though he was putting on no7 shirt. Osigoal, please if you have any opportunity to read all these comments. I want you to know that all football loving Nigerians love you and are praying for you. Please do not let us down. Just keep working hard in fact work harder. For the now forget the money. After harder work, the money will follow. Do away with pride, arrogance, and be friendly to your teammates. The sky is your starting point. M.utd don’t like Africa players that was why Odion Ihalo went there and they bench him.but I believe there is a level you will be that even if you are from Kano State republic m.td can’t do away with you if they have you in their squad. We Nigerians want to see you go to clubs like that and prove to them that even the white don’t have a say wherever you appear.
