Osimhen Loses Face Mask On Super Eagles Duty

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen will reportedly be handed a new face mask in Naples after misplacing the original.

According to Calciomercato, Osimhen realized he didn’t have his iconic mask on returning from international duty with Nigeria.

Osimhen didn’t find the net as the Super Eagles lost 1-0 to Guinea-Bissau on Friday, March 24 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium and defeated their opponents in the reverse fixture on Monday, March 27 at the Estadio 24 de Setembro.

Osimhen began to wear the mask after sustaining an injury in Napoli’s 3-2 defeat to Inter Milan in November 2021.

The 24 year old has racked up 21 goals and four assists in 23 Serie A matches this season.

Napoli are first in the Serie A table with 71 points after 27 games this campaign.

It’s like a whole bunch of baggage always follows Osimhen each time he comes for national duty which will somehow necessitate Napoli not to release him for the next qualifiers……

    • He is already out for two weeks now, and they still need to do a MRI to see if it’s not as bad as thought or worse but I wish he can make the champions league tie

How can you say that his club will not release him? They know the implication of that as far as club and country duties in FIFA regulation is

  • Sunnyb 1 year ago

They shouldn’t release him, the guy is needed for some important matches, he needs to calm down a bit when playing for Nigeria, he should be more technical, uses his heads more. Less power less emotional.

Sunnyb you spoke my mind he needs to be less emotional and relaxed. The hurry is too much that he tends to be overreacting and ends up overdoing and misses the net. This is why we need the new discovery Orban as an option. If Orban and Victor can not get goals you’ll know that the problem is really more than just players. I don’t trust Peseiro and because he is sharing money they will not replace him. Nigeria Hmmm we will continue to be dominated by Senegal, Morocco and Algeria including other confident small nations. Nigeria is not hard to defeat again.

Rohr started this loosing habit with Sierra Leone, and one of those fishermen teams. They think football is for criminals. If you starve the team of genuine players you will be wiped left and right by other serious nation.

A lot of people will come here hailing Rohr who’s no longer relevant in football after starting well with Nigeria. He started this DW collaboration which corrupted his method of handling national team base on ties with them, and down goes super eagles. A team that will call players and leave out Anthony Izuchuwu for no reasons and choose some funny players from strange places. NFF are old set of men ruling Nigeria football with their old senses.

Another Problem is they are too weak to question CAF/FIFA  about a lot of nonsense happening in African football with regards to tactical officiating against Nigeria teams and clubsides, Referees are against Nigerian players, the players are being treated as criminals and the games doesn’t give us fair chance of winning if this is the only excuse I can give for the coach Peseiro and his other Charlatans such Salisu and co. But this has never affected Siasia who’s presently under going framed up suspension by Political Fifa. Nigeria needs a real NFF President that will fix all this and also give us our own genius tactician. They need to stop this cheap coaching parade….. Nigerians should be valued for once!!! There’s no hiding place for lies anymore they’ll be petition for all the ongoing corruption, I remember Pinnick bribed his way out and also faking sickness the last time he was investigated. This time there will be chains on some legs and hands. Petitions for Tim and a host of others, and the shady deals happening at the NFF can easily give them serious petitions when the law starts working in Nigeria.

Why is losing a mask being made out to be such a big deal? lol- This is my question? What is the implication of him losing the mask? Are we saying that the mask is some expensive and crucial part of his life and well being? Or are we implying that it makes him who he is? What makes anyone think that this mask issue is such a big deal?
Are we calling Nigerians thieves because of a 2 bob mask? Abi what are we really saying about this mask self?
Why is it such big news that CS have to make a headline of it? Do you understand that this may make someone in Italy laugh so hard that they’ll hurt themselves about backwardness in Nigeria and Africa as a whole – Abeg now my people! Haba!

Oh and by the way – On better news, Chelsea have thrown their hats into the ring Oh!
Let the bidding for our Victor begin – one thing that is certain is that if Chelsea are really interested as we are now being told – then it’s safe to say that Osimhen will be a Chelsea player this summer!
That should be really good news as if he has it in him then he will definitely step up again at that club in so many ways but most of all in his mentality which is the strongest asset of a high value individual.

My brother Chelsea is not a good destination for Osimhen at this point in time. He needs regular Champions league appearance which Chelsea cannot offer him now
