Victor Osimhen missed the chance to continue his scoring streak, but it was not enough to prevent Napoli from securing an historic Serie A win against Juventus on Sunday.
Going into Sunday’s game, Osimhen had scored in Napoli’s last three games in all competitions.
The reigning CAF Player of the Year, saw his 88th minute penalty saved, but Giacomo Raspadori reacted quickest to slot home the rebound as Napoli triumphed 2-1.
Napoli took the lead through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the 42nd minute but Federico Chiesa equalised for Juve in 81 minutes.
Napoli have now won five home matches in a row against Juventus for the first time in their Serie A’s history.
Also, Juventus have lost five away games in a row against a single opponent in Serie A for the first time since a streak of six against Fiorentina between 1960 and 1964.
Osimhen has scored 11 goals in 16 league appearances for the Serie A champions this season.

Osimhen enjoys playing for his team. Good luck Napoli!
Victor has shown how much of a team player he is and that is a strong advantage for him and the team , but still he’s got to work on his penalty take ins which is worrisome because as a number 9 apart from scoring goals from decisive positions , penalty take ins are also important Looking at the Afcon , he couldn’t score from the penalties that he earned and this could have catapulted him amongst the highest goal scoring list .
Victor Oshimen needs to work on the penalties , more goal range and learn how to score freekicks . This will define him more marketable and prolific as a world greatest striker in which at the moment Haalamd is beating in that aspect . I wish Victor the best .
Osimhen should understand that a good penalty kick is not just about sending the goalkeeper the wrong direction but he has to bring in accuracy and velocity (speed) in his penalty kicks.
I mean, choose the angle of weakness of the goalkeeper and shoot the ball with high velocity (shot) such that before the goalkeeper gets there, the ball has entered.
Osimhen should watch how CR7 takes his penalties. Bring out extra hours to train on his areas of dip.
Welldone great striker, VO9.
