Osimhen Officially Receives Serie A Player Of The Month Award For March

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was officially presented with the Serie A Player of the Month award for March after Napoli’s home league game with Fiorentina on Sunday.

A photo of Osimhen with the award was published on Serie A’s verified Twitter handle.

Osimhen scored four goals in three league appearances in March as Napoli continued their push for the Scudetto.

The 23-year-old netted a brace each in the Partenopei’s wins against Udinese and Hellas Verona.

Osimhen beat AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu and on-loan Fiorentina midfielder Lucas Torreira to the award.

And in Sunday’s game against Fiorentina, he scored and provided an assist as Napoli lost 3-2 inside the Diego Maradona stadium.

He has now scored 12 goals, four assists in 21 appearances in the Italian topflight this season.

The defeat saw Napoli drop to third spot behind AC Milan and Inter Milan in the league table.

Still Napoli players don’t want to Pass to him, I watched the game and I was so furious, even when Osimhen did a lovely assist to Mertens to score, Mertens shockingly ignored Osimhen to run to Insigne instead to celebrate, Even when Osimhen ran to the celebration spot, he was still ignored, in almost every game scored nowadays globally in football, the goalscorer always runs to the guy that gave him the assist to celebrate with him, It’s so obvious that Insigne and Mertens have formed a gang to frustrate Osimhen out of Napoli, my only happiness is Spalletti the coach and Napoli fans Love him so much. And Osimhen capped it up with a wonderful goal. I was so heartbroken that Napoli finally lost the game

As important as it is, a head that will wear the crown should not bother with who clap or didn’t clap for the King at initial beginning. It tells the World more about those players than, it says about Osimhen. In other words, they are doing themselves.

You’re spot on @Emecco. I saw the game too.
Regarding the celebrations, for instance when Mane scored today he kept pointing at Salah. He uttered something that looked like “No, it wasn’t me. It was you that made it happen”.

I have learnt from this match that the reason he couldn’t score against Ghana is our wingers and midfielder inability to feed him. Same problem that hindered Onuachu, Awoyini and others. Even Lewandoski can not function in SE setup. It’s time to correct this malfunction under any new Coach coming on board others SE won’t still fly.
