Osimhen, Onuachu, Odey Set For UEFA Champions League Bow

Nigerian stars; Victor Osimhen, Paul Onuachu and Stephen Odey will look to make their debut in the UEFA Champions League for their respective clubs when action starts on Tuesday, on matchday-one of the 2019/2020 edition of the competition , Completesports.com reports.

At the Johan Cruijff Arena, Amsterdam, Osimhen who has been in top form is expected to lead the line when Lille Metrople face their hosts, Ajax.

Osimhen, who joined Lille from Belgian outfit, Sporting Charleroi this summer has scored five goals in five league appearances for Les Dogues.

The duo of Paul Onuachu and Stephen Odey have a chance to play in the competition for the first time when their Belgian club, KRC Genk face
Austrian side, Salzburg at the Red Bull Arena.

Onuachu, who recently completed a move to Genk from FC Midtjylland of Denmark scored his first goal for the club in last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Sporting Charleroi.

Odey, who switched from Switzerland’s FC Zurich has made two league appearances for Genk, but is still looking to bag his first goal.

The Guiseppe Meaza Stadium will be the venue of the clash between Inter Milan and Slavia Prague for the club.

Nigeria forward, Peter Olayinka is a key member of Czech club, Slavia Prague.

Olayinka, 23, has scored two goals in six league appearances for Slavia Prague this season.
