Osimhen Set To Reject Napoli

Victor Osimhen is set to reject a move to Serie A club Napoli and wait for Manchester United and Arsenal to launch an official bid.

Reports in Italy claim sources close to the Nigerian star, 21, have confirmed the forward will reject Gennaro Gattuso’s side.

Instead, Osimhen will hold out for a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and United leading the race, say Football Italia.

The Lille forward has been pursued by Napoli for months now.

Osimhen met boss Gattuso and was even invited to club president Aurelio De Laurentiis’ home on the island of Capri.

On leaving, the striker asked for a few days to think about his next move.

But after weeks of being charmed by Napoli, Osimhen is on the verge of knocking them back in order to try to force a move to the Premier League.

Napoli had agreed to a £46million fee to sign Osimhen, say reports in Italy.

The Serie A giants, who’ve endured a horror season by their high standards, were also said to have offered him a monster salary.

Osimhen has quickly emerged as one of Europe’s top prospects.

The eight-cap Nigeria international has scored 18 goals in just 38 games for Lille this season, while laying on six assists.

Rejecting Napoli and waiting for Manchester United that will never bench Martial for you and already has your Big Bro Ighalo looks stupid of an idea to me sha.

Arsenal…still considerate. My dream move for Oshimen though is Liverpool! They have everything to make you a star man. Forget Firmino! That guy go chop bench for you! He has lost form and even when he was in form, he is just at par with Oshimen and Oshimen has more vibe, energy than him. In addition, Klopp has an eye for talent and doesn’t discriminate based on skin color or anything. I just pray Liverpool come knocking in the coming days.

Osimhen are u sure your last naija visit was a safe trip? Becos its looks like enemies are at work. You dont have any reason to reject napoli, your level is not bigger than napoli onless you feel you are better player than maradona himself. The club have shown enough interest for you to quickly put ur pen on their paper. Forcing your self into premier league maybe dangerouse! Iheanacho had the chance to sign for fc porto wish would have been the best option for him to develope more at the end he rushed into man city wish didnt go well. Please my brother jejely accept napoli and rock the seria A at list for two season then u are 23 or 24 you can now move to premierleague or la liga with enblem of experience then you will be well equiped for the chalanges, our most celebrated footballer (papilo) moved from ajax to inter before ariving arsenal it worked for him.

Hahahahha….@ Collins. Im beginning to fall in love with your comments these days. As much as they are comical, they carry plenty of home truths in them. ARSENAL…? Man U…? Really…? Osimhen….are you thinking straight at this moment…??? You are “holding out” for teams who have not shown any concrete plans of what you will be to them and turning down the only one which has made concrete offers, has plans for you, and even invited you to dine with their top brass FOC. They are even ready to sell their current best striker and buy one of your team mates in Lille just to make sure you settle down quickly in Naples. What other level of desire and interest can a club show a player….???

I have to disagree with you on this one Drey.

Black players need to think long and hard before they take up an offer to play in Italy. Their racism is on another level; its opposing fans, your own fans, even team mates sometimes. It will be hell to pay if an Italian club pays that much for an African player, and he does not hit the ground running from day 1.

For Napoli the risk is also on the upside for Osimhen. If he scores tonnes of goals and outgrows the team, De Laurentitis will make sure he does not get that move to a bigger club when the offers come (see Koulibaly’s situation for instance). The man is impossible to negotiate with.

More importantly for me is that if he goes to England and does not set the League alight, he can still get a move to a champions league side in Italy easy. But if he’s middling in Italy on his first big move, then his down side is much lower – you’re talking lower table English sides or some middling French side or German side.

Now the rumour is that Spurs and Liverpool, as well as Inter have matched the offer Lille accepted from Napoli. I think he should be patient and see how the window plays out before he signs. Napoli will wait.

Italian Defenders are very bad. and ref dont protect players there, Osihmen should watch well, premier league will be the best for you

@ Dr drey and Glory, thanks verry much.

  • Humm who is VO7 adviser? rejecting napoli for man u that will never bench rashford and martial plus igbalo is there, as for arsenal, probably little preferable as they intend selling lacacera and if they able to get amatey, then we gonna see a diff. arsenal next season, amatey, zhaka and ceballos in midfield, vo7, auba and saka upfront for a 4-3-3 formation will be deadly.

  • Why rejecting Napoli, SE coach advice you it good for you for building to maturity level, also Collins and Dr Drey and many lover sport.I wish best of luck in your decision you make
