Osimhen Staying At Napoli A Good Thing For Nigeria — Peseiro

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro reckoned Victor Osimhen took a good decision by opting not to leave Serie A champions Napoli this summer.

Osimhen played a key role in Napoli’s Scudetto success last season.

The 24-year-old contributed 26 goals in 32 league appearances.

Peseiro was delighted Osimhen opted to remain at Napoli.

“At first he thought about leaving, but then he decided to stay and do his best in Napoli. And I’m happy to see him still competing for big goals in Europe,”he told Italian news outlet, Gazzetta dello Sport.

Peseiro further said: But Victor is very happy in Napoli. For his growth path, staying in Europe and showing off in the Champions League remains the best way. He is young and has time to prove his talent.

“Then I understand that in the face of certain offers one can waver: two seasons in Arabia are worth more than ten in Europe, but money is not everything. Victor has improved a lot in Italy.”

Osimhen has been nominated for the 2023 Men’s Ballon d’Or and the FIFA Best Men’s award.

He is also the favourite to win the 2023 African Footballer of the Year prize.

If Osimhen goes to Saudia Aribia he can loose his quality then he will be a normal player , but if he still stay in Europe he , will be in the next time World best player.
