Osimhen Subbed On As Napoli Overcome Bologna

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen was in action in Napoli’s 2-0 win over Bologna in Monday’s Serie A game.

It was Osimhen’s first game for Napoli in 2022 after recovering from a facial injury that ruled him out for three months.

The Nigerian international came on as a substitute in the 71st minute for Dries Mertens.

Hirving Lozano gave Napoli the lead in the 20th minute before grabbing his brace in the 47th minute to help his team earn the maximum points.

However, Osimhen’s return is a timely boost for Napoli, whose title hopes have faded in recent weeks.

The Neapolitans are now five points behind the leaders’ Inter Milan.

If a player is rule out of a tournament due to ill health, then he can not play for the club even if he recovers until after the tournament

But covid is a grey area as you can recover from covid in a matter of days…..Napoli played this skillfully and used covid and the pressure on Osimhen to skip Afcon. Remember the Napoli doctors said he should be back by mid or ending of January.

NFF should report Napoli to FIFA

They can’t as Osimhen eventually opted out when he contracted covid…. All Maradona games played by Napoli. There was a napoli official quoted before Afcon that said he will sue Osimhen if he goes to the Afcon. Scare tactics and all were deployed to make the poor guy just oot out. In a country where things are done properly, Osimhen should have been invited and have our own Drs/Surgeons follow up from where the Italians finished work and pertaining to covid hevwould have healed in camp too but the NFF officials are too gullible for international football antics.

What a loss for we Nigerians. Na waooo. Egua (Palace) is missing Osimhen and Ighalo terribly. The coach said so already.

Useless Amaju Pinnick and his crews make Osimhen missed AFCON else the boy was ready to play.
