Osimhen Will Be A Good Good Signing For Liverpool — Nicol

Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol has urged his former club to sign Victor Osimhen from reigning Serie A champions, Napoli.

Osimhen has consistently been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Nigeria international has a release clause of around €120-€130m in the contract he signed with Napoli last December.

Nicol believed the forward will be a fantastic replacement for Mohamed Salah, who could leave the Reds this summer.

Salah was trailed by Saudi champions Al Ittihad last season and Al Hilal are also now reportedly interested in his services.

“The fact that Salah will leave, regardless of whether it will be this year or next, Osimhen? I think he would be fantastic for Liverpool,” Nicol told ESPNin.

“In midfield we have just signed Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai, (Wataru) Endo has proved incredible, you need someone who runs all day and gives it (the ball) to MacAllister and Szoboszlai.”
