Just before Anayo Iwuala sealed the move to Esperance, his name was all over the footballing space in the country. Some even labelled him the new Okocha or Etim Esin. Immediately he left Nigeria, he disappeared like car smoke. Our journalists are part of the rot in our football, let’s stop blaming Pinnick. In fact, these people put a lot of pressure on the Warri-born administrator before he bowed to the pressure of letting Rohr go. I pray that mistake doesnt cost us another decade of disaster.

Great post! Why did Rohr stopped inviting him after he left? Was he no longer playing football? This is the missing link methinks.

There’s no excuse, pressure or no pressure. When you’ve attained position of leadership, you should take responsibility for whatever you allow, knowing you’d be accountable. Let’s not start cooking up reasons for Amaju’s awful failures.
