Manny Pacquiao has launched a fresh attack on Floyd Mayweather on social media as he pushes for a rematch.
The pair, who met in the most lucrative boxing match of all-time back in 2015, have become embroiled in a fresh war of words amid rumours they could meet in the ring again.
Pacquiao called out Mayweather in a lengthy post after beating Keith Thurman last weekend, prompting Mayweather to accuse him of using his name to do publicity.
But the Filipino fighter has now reversed the argument after his name was mentioned in one of Mayweather’s tweets.
He responded: “If you think using my name in your social media posts will make you relevant, be my guest. #FunnyMoney ”
Their new war of words erupted after Pacquiao’s win over Thurman, when Mayweather posted on Instagram urging people to stop associating his name with Mayweather’s.
He claimed Pacquiao’s name should “hold its own weight” in a lengthy outburst, leading to the 40-year-old to urge him on Twitter to come out of retirement.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
