Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on Dundee United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist but may face competition from Nottingham Forest. The Terrors will struggle to hold onto some of their better players after failing to make it to the Scottish Premiership.

They lost the play-off final on penalties, with St Mirren maintaining their top-flight status for another season and United resigned to another year in the second tier of Scottish football. The Daily Record are reporting that head coach Robbie Neilson is keen to extend Siegrist’s deal at Tannadice, with the former Switzerland Under-21 ace due to fall out of contract at the end of next season.
It has been suggested that the Eagles had scouts in attendance on Sunday in the 1-1 draw while Hull City and Nottingham Forest also watched Siegrist. Forest boss Martin O’Neill worked with the shot-stopper at Aston Villa but it remains to be seen if he wants to move to a Championship club rather than top-flight Palace.
