Palace Linked With Seri Swoop

Crystal Palace are reportedly set to make their move for Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri, who is also interesting clubs in Italy. Ivory Coast international Seri, who is currently preparing for this summer’s Africa Cup on Nations, only joined Fulham from Nice last summer after previously attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona.

Despite a big reputation, Seri struggled during his first season in England and could not prevent the Cottagers from suffering a swift relegation from the Premier League. It is now widely expected Seri will leave Craven Cottage during the summer, with Fulham looking to trim their wage bill following relegation, but the 27-year-old could be handed a second chance in the Premier League given Palace’s reported interest.

Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is seemingly keen to add more guile to his options in the middle of the park and Seri may well fit the bill. Palace will have to move quickly as Italian giants AC Milan and Inter are also said to be interested. Seri still has three years to run on his contract with Fulham and the Cottagers will be hoping to recoup the reported club-record £25million they paid to secure his services less than 12 months ago.
