Ese Brume booked a place in the final of the women’s long jump event at the 2024 Olympic Games on Tuesday.
Brume claimed her place in the final with a jump of 6.76m.
The 28-year-old won bronze medal in the same event three years ago in Tokyo.
Two other Nigerians; Ruth Usoro and Prestina Ochonogor are also through to the final.

Usoro qualified with a mark of 6.68m, while Ochonogor claimed her spot with 6.65m.
It is the first time three Nigerians will make it to the final of the women’s long jump event in the history of the Olympics.
Nigeria’s Udodi Onwuzurike has also qualified for the semi-final of the men’s 200m.
Onwuzurike won heat 1 of the Repechage rounds to book his automatic spot.
He clocked a time of 20.51s, with Italy’s Diego Pettorosi coming second in a time of 20.53s.
