Oga o! Is it that serious???
Take it easy o Banyana Banyana.
Good luck to my queen Falcons.
If Nigeria picks this ticket, Ellis and some of his players fit commit suicide. This clearly is more than the ticket for them. As far as they’re concerned, it’s a confirmation of who’s the new dominant force in women’s football in Africa. They’re also still pained that Oshoala won the AWFOTY and never hid their displeasure.
Only if Gusau and his jokers’ board are serious, this shouldn’t be a worry. But… we’re already sabotaging ourselves on homesoil. Since that Aisha Buhari bungle, they’ve grown wings. We keep reading news here about SA preparation and none on our own SF. This is confusion AF.
NFF is not serious at all.
Our sport ministry is loaded with unserious set of people that are only interested in themselves.
South Africa girls has camped in SA since last Monday and arrived Abuja on Sunday with five solid days to acclimatize and prepare for the match.
I’m not even sure if Nigeria camp is open yet.
And to even show how unserious NFF is, they fix this match for Abuja where fans won’t turn up. Match like this Should have been fix for Uyo, PHC or Benin where large number of football loving Nigerian will troop out to support the Super Falcons. We will all see the way the stadium will be loaded on the return leg at South Africa.
I pray Nigeria qualify.
God bless you brother.
I voiced this concern last year, pleading with the nff to take this match to Uyo where the pitch is perfect and we’re sure of having at least 60% capacity support.
I’m not sure we’re going to have up to 3,000 fans in Abuja.
I wish the girls well but our football eggheads are just mannequins occupying offices.
Our opponents seem to be more prepared than us.
Our opponents arrived earlier than us on our home soil.
Hahahaha Deo. Our opponents are in Abuja with 24 players already, while we have just 5 players in our camp as at this morning…LMAOoo.
Sometimes we just take God for granted in Nigeria.
….mind you, for the records, our opponents are the current defending African champions whom we have not been able to defeat in regulation time for about 8 years now and have not defeated by more than a goal margin in 14 years (I beg to be corrected), not some minnows like Ethiopia or Capeverde.

Of course, it’s always the case with NFF. Fire brigade approach is their hallmark. A federation that cannot even relay live matches on their YouTube channel which ordinary individuals are doing can’t be trusted.
If it’s taking them a whole year to find a new coach, what do you expect? Planning a 2-week camp will be too much hard work. They’re not there for football. They’re there for loot sharing.
The shame in not live-streaming match after match (even in this highly digitized age where it should be easier) is particularly beyond comprehension. NFF has lost all sense of shame. And they supposedly have a communications director, Ademola Olajire, whose only speciality is abusing anyone that dares expose their corruption. Aisha Falode too has joined the robbery gang. They’re busy planning the sharing quota among themselves for the $4m Afcon silver-winning money and how to cover their tracks.
EFCC dare not look into their books cos FIFA says they can’t. Only them can intervene like they did at the last Women’s world cup. Guinea kncoekc the men out. Now, they;’re toying with our biggest prospect for gold at this year’s Olynpics event.
@Kel, you are spot on and thank u, because you said it all. These bunch of thieves at NFF and with all the monies at their disposal can’t even stream matches live! What a shame? The sport minister needs to wake up too because they would sabotage him
Our biggest prospect for gold at this year’s olympics….? Are you refering to the SF…?
Please calm down ehn..!
Hahaha, that yeye communications director sabi speak big English ooo.
Still recall him calling Waldrum a BLABBER MOUTH. Oyibo repete.
When it comes to speaking Queen’s English, he is the best. He is even better than the former wazza dazzler of a sports minister.
He can use big English to separate an Ijebu man from his money.
Oops, now that a king is ruling, is it king’s English? Sorry ooo.
Ophe ffn ear ciriohores
Super Falcon, NFF wake up there is danger, I learnt they opened camp over a week ago, where they made their selection before landing in Nigeria, by the time the will meet SF, they would have been two weeks in camp while sf will be just four days, ABEG make Dem Sabi say to fail to prepare is to prepare to fail.
I don’t know why my head is seeing SA as a bully. To spread intimidation. They only have sprinkle of foreign based stars though. That is why they were able to camp early.
My own issue is with Oshoala who, I just read, would fly in on Thursday when match is on Friday.
If she still starts on Friday, then I know Falcons are already disintegrating with cabals swooning with havoc in the team.
Even if that girl happen to be the first to hit camp, she’s not in anyway have business in the starting 11, she’s been horrible with the falcons for a while now and I’m one of those who believe she didn’t deserve the female APOTY.
Except there are other sources of info beyond what was reported here, the post said Banyana too are still expecting their foreign players. Banyana squad has only 4 foreign players while Falcons have only 3 home based players.
All our home based players are in camp too and to the best of my knowledge, a number of our players still played on Saturday. I think we are being too harsh on our team without considering all factors surrounding the situation. If more than twenty players in Falcons are home based, then we too might be talking about opening our camp two weeks ago.
Let’s patiently watch what happens in our camp. I hope we will have a full house by the end of tomorrow. Unfortunately, it is what it is.
So which foreign club will release a player for 2 weeks because of an olympic qualifiers? Does the white coach even live in Nigeria? Has he gone around the league to discover local players that he can camp, players he will eventually not use. So why should NFF waste money on players that wouldn’t be considered for the game. Have many considered the logistics of getting this foreign based players. Justin for Oshoala to get to Abuja from her base is 2 days Journey by itself. So do you expect her club to release her since last week. Many of the SA girls are local players, so inject 3 to 4 players is not a biggy, compared to use that we are over-reliant on foreign based.
Honestly I would like to hear from those faulting the NFF, how would you have executed the planning for this game.
Maybe those condemning the NFF can tell us how they plan to execute this game
Let me use this opportunity to call out the Lagos state government.
Why can’t the Lagos state government make the sacrifice and build a befitting new stadium and a hotel in the environ? Budget could be drawn from the many private companies (driven by incentives), from soft loans, in addition to the govt funding.
Such could be built in the least crowded areas of the state like Ikorodu, Epe, even a Badagry to give room for easy commuting and further development. We could make the place a ‘sporting city.’
After completion, the facility will be managed by private company in conjunction with the Government.
It will be good for the econonomy, sports, the youth, and ours and Lagos pride.
Lagos is a Mega city and should be treated as such.
As much as I love Uyo, we all know Lagos is the’home’. Why do we have to put ourselves in a disadvantage and make our home games feel away?!
The National team will feel much at home in Lagos, with the crowd, support and all.
There is so much load on Uyo.
National team- Uyo!
Clubsides- Uyo!
Why should the Falcons play tough opponents in an Abuja that lack fans and support?
Come on! Why can’t our leaders be initiatiıve?
There is no need to panic guys. The south African female league have been off for months now.So about 90% of their players are inactive and lacked match fitness. So the early camping was to knock them into shape for the match. You know that 90% of their squad are home based.Compare that with our players who are all active in their foreign clubs
You pipo should stop disturbing NFF ONIGBESE.
Don’t you know they need to focus on sharing formula for the Olympic money? We haven’t qualified yet, but they have already “proactively” started sharing the money. Is it not good to be proactive?
Even sef, money for players’ bonuses is still there that they need to share. Then the big one. The $4m Afcon money. They are still quarreling among themselves over that one.
So as you can see, they are very busy. Please fans, stop disturbing them.
