Peseiro Not Worried About Eagles’ Players Bench Roles At Clubs

Ahead of the Super Eagles versus the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau 2023 AFCON qualifying matches, Jose Peseiro has stated that he has no problem with the bench roles of some of the players at their respective clubs.

The Super Eagles host the Djurtus in the first leg at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Friday, 24th March, at 5pm Nigerian time. The second led will take place at the Estadio 24 de Setembro in Bissau on Monday, 27th March, at 5pm Nigerian time.

Speaking after the Super Eagles’ first training session at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja, Peseiro insisted that he would keep on inviting the boys if they are physically fit and are not injured.

“I prefer to choose the best players and I invite them because they are the best. I call them because I want to build a team. I call them because I believe in them and I remain in contact with them and their coaches,” Peseiro said.

“I won’t call them when they are injured. But if their respective club coaches tell me they are playing but that they chose other players based on better form, I need these players to build the team spirit and confidence. If they don’t get the chance to play, it is my obligation – it is my responsibility to keep calling them so long as they are fit

“I expect all the invited players to report to be in camp and train Tuesday, so no problem. I am not under any pressure to win the game on Friday because I believe in the boys,” Peseiro concluded.

It’s like I’ve heard these funny reasons before.
May be from Rohr. Paseiro better continue to be maintaining his record of No loss in a competitive match for naija. With that, no issue. If he likes let him call Etebo, Awaziem, Shehu and co back because of Chemistry. Make him just dey win or else….

And there you have it….we do not have a coach but we do have a Portuguese scammer. How can a coach say he doesn’t care about bench roles of his players? And talking about he wants to build a team no you are not building a team you inherited a team built by Rohr and your invitations have been sketchy. Until he proves me wrong I honestly don’t have faith in this Peseiro guy who has a shambolic coaching record.

SMH omo this one weak me o. What serious country will invite these kind of players if not Eritea and other amateur countries. I remember back in the days it’s usually these counties that invites players warming bench or from second division struggling teams. Now my darling Eagles are inviting bench warmers from Division 2 and funny leagues…. It’s another 4-8 years of madness in the can waiting for Nigeria football. And if possible 16years because they’ll not stop passing Baton to one another.

      • My mind exactly. No wonder Senegal will continue to rule African football. Nigeria does not have any ambition at whatever level.

And nothing will happen to the coach.

Well, Mr.Paseiro for this match , you might use what is at hand to execute this match, however what will make to succeed to the discovery of new set of players, that are younger, committed and can play for to win at anytime. No team is a push over in AFCON, if you choose to do the contrary you may as well go down as the worst coach.Goodluck

So the yum yum fc guy u invited is one of the “best” you could get for us abi????? Your past corrupt record in other teams u handled precedes u and hence, Nigeria where corruption is abated and learned as a pre requisite skill will be the best place for you to perfect your corrupt skills. Little wonder you haven’t won any friendly match with more technically sound teams.
