Pinnick Confirms Ejaria Has Committed International Future To Nigeria

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has confirmed Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria has committed his international future to the West African nation.

Ejaria was born in England to Nigerian parents, and he trained with the Nigeria U-17 side in 2013.

The 22-year-old has previously represented England at the U-20 and U-21 levels.

“Yes, he (Ejaria) has agreed to play for Nigeria,” Pinnick told ESPN.

“His documents have been sent to FIFA since.”

Ejaria, currently on loan at Reading in the English Championship, becomes the latest in an army of players born and raised outside Nigeria who will wear the Super Eagles’ colours at senior level. Currently, those players make up nearly half of Nigeria’s starting XI.

They include William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Joe Aribo and Alex Iwobi.

Recent acquisitions who are yet to make an appearance are Dutch Eredivisie top scorer Cyriel Dessers and Bundesliga defender Kingsley Ehizibue. Both were called up for the first time by Rohr.

  • OK’ THE RONALDINHO HAS COME. AND EJUKE NEYMAR AND EBERE OKOCHA WILL ALSO COME. hmmm’ total off and off and on players like simon that will make 9dribble attempt but none successful.

iwobi off most time and on for little time.

  • Iwobi performance is questionable. Iwobi is the weak player in super eagle squad, dude cant open leg and shoot. His inconsistent level is not from this planet.

  • Sorry ooo, which Iwobi are we talking about? Abi are there 2 Iwobis? Maybe there is another Iwobi I don’t know that fits what you’re saying.
Is it the Iwobi that has been creating chances and scoring goals for Nigeria? Don’t forget his goal against Zambia that qualified us for World Cup 2018. Or his goal against Cameroun in Afcon 2019 that eliminated the Indomitable Lions from the competition. Or the numerous assists he creates for our strikers, have you forgotten these?
The Iwobi who gives structure and purpose to our attack?
The Iwobi who is always on time to camp, showing great commitment and discipline?
I have no problem with constructive criticism of players. That only helps to make them better. But we should take care not to weaken the resolve of players like this, who are doing their best. Nobody is perfect. Iwobi has a lot to work on to be a better player. But the guy has done very, very well for us. Unless we want to start telling lies.

See the Iwobi you are talking about below:

Oga P for Pompei. Pls leave them.

They remind me of that young boy who was feeling like Tuface Idibia when he was scattering Arithmetics in JSS3 and then got to SS1 and met differential calculus in Add Maths…LMAO.

When these guys (Ejaria and Eze) can make 35 appearances for a top 4 club in the EPL in one season, then I’ll know they are truely better than Iwobi. Na Sidon look we dey….Lolz. Na hia dem go come meet Alex, let’s see which one of them will be good enough to confine him to the bench at International level.

Small pikin nor know thorns e dey call am vegetables.

“Small pikin nor know thorns e dey call am vegetables.”

Lol, that one has me laughing nonstop.

You’re right, Dr Drey. No need to waste valuable time arguing with some people. Iwobi is not good. Simon is not good. Ok ooo. Boot kuku plenty for market. This football is easy to watch on the telly, but to play na another story. Na those wey no sabi na dem dey talk pass. Na so life be!

    • We should please learn to appreciate what we have. Iwobi that some people are criticise is the best creative player in the current super eagles. When Mr. Rohr made an experiment of benching Iwobi for Mikel in the last African nations cup. We were all crying and criticising the coach for benching Iwobi because we lost that match to Madagascar and we realize that there was no creativity that is when people started to stone the coach that he should be sacked. When Iwobi started the match against South Africa and Cameroon we realize that Iwobi was our playmaker and he far better than Mikel. Mikel could not hide his face. He retired after the nations cup because of the impact of Iwobi. Believe me or not Iwobi is a playmaker for the super eagles. He is the most humble and committed player in that team. He only need to improve in his club.

Ejaria is a nice addition to the squad. A really good baller. He can play with Iwobi, Aribo and the rest of them, or the squad can also be rotated to keep everybody fresh and firing optimally. Hopefully, Rohr can use all of them togeher to make the team even better.

Even Moses Simon that was mentioned, the guy has been tearing up the French league un with scinitllating performances, such that big clubs are now tussling for his signature. If he struggled to dribble like you said, I’m sure the clubs chasing him now will not want to waste their time and energy on something worthless. Let’s refrain from tearing down our guys who are doing their best!

  • do you people watching back of tv or you only watch 2017 18 match?

oya go google simon dribbles at nante, stop talking without confirm or bias.

2018 winger iwobi you are talking about only lack aggression and shooting and tackle.

so we nick named 2017_18 winger iwobi nigerian messi, because of pace, dribble, skill, through pass.

but even 5years child know that iwobi 2019_20 since move from wing to midfield is totally different, and lack followings…
    pace
    aggression.
    tackle
    dribble
    shoot
    holding possession.

but 2019 and 20 iwobi only possessed beautiful through passes. how can a player have only one quality?? when other midfielders around the world have lowest 4qualities.

for instance ozil his mentor lack dribble klills, aggression, tackle.
but ozil have through passes, bullet shot, curling, pace.

so we know the truth but bcus you like him, so you cover him, i just like i was covering him when he was at arsenal. now i know iwobi cant improve.

  • since moving iwobi from wing to midfield has do iwobi game harm.
iwobi cant play midfield offensively. offensive midfielder contribute in goal scoring.
offensive midfielder occassionally score superb goals,
like either freekick, thunderous shot outside box, R2goals, or dribble 3 to 4 markers to score.
offensive midfield who does not have any of these 4qualities cant score. because offensive midfielder is not expose directly to the keeper and goal post.
so they use these 4 means to contribute goals. tap in goals is for strikers due to their positioning that expose to the keeper.

  • what is attacking midfielder?
Attacking midfielder is one who position in front of the 2midfielder, and behind the strike.
attacking midfielder through his offensive ability to contribute goals to stair the team forward.
attacking midfielder only score superb goals e.g
freekicks, stunning shot outside the box, R2 goal, dribble past last 2 to 3 players to score the needed goal.

any offensive midfielder without any of these qualities cant score goals to help.

  • @Toruibe boy good analysis. you really a football genius and fans.
yes i google what you said and confirm it. you try sha.
