Plymouth Join Akhisarspor, Cardiff City In Race For Ambrose

Efe Ambrose is believed to be on the radar of Plymouth Argyle who have joined the clubs keen on signing the agent who is available on a free
transfer after leaving Scottish Premiership side Hibernian, Completesports.com reports.

According to the Scottish Sun, the Pilgrims are one of three clubs keen on signing the Nigeria international, but a move to Home Park looks the most unlikely of his three options.

Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City are also said to be keen on the 30-year-old former Celtic stopper as they look for reinforcements to bolster their chances of staying in the Premier League.

However, it seems no offer has been made for Ambrose with Turkish side Akhisarspor leading the chase for his signature.

Ambrose has received an offer from Akhisarspor, who are having a poor season after their successes of 2017/18 which saw them win the Turkish Cup last season.

They are struggling badly in the Turkish Super League and are in 15th position out of 18 teams.

Manager Cihat Arslan has been given the go-ahead to bring in defensive recruits this month and 30-year-old Ambrose could be first in the door.
