Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been installed as an early conender for the Juventus job after Massimiliano Allegri’s departure.
The Tottenham manager’s name was immediately linked to the Turin club on Friday after Juventus confirmed that the Italian would be moving on this summer after a trophy-laden spell in charge of the Old Lady.
Allegri, who won 11 major titles in his stint at Juve, will see his contract terminated a year early by mutual consent and could be a target for Premier League clubs soon.
Reports in Italy claim Juventus directors Pavel Nedved and Fabio Paratici are pushing for the return of ex-Chelsea and Italy boss Antonio Conte. But Conte is in advanced negotiations with Inter Milan and Bianconeri president Andrea Agnelli apparently still harbours a bit of a grudge following their 2014 falling out.

Pochettino is not even thought to be Juventus’ first choice Premier League target with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who speaks fluent Italian, ahead of the Argentinean.
Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi, who has led the Serie A side to the Italian Super Cup and Coppa Italia, is also understood to be a prime candidate for the role. Earlier this month, Pochettino suggested he could leave Tottenham if the club achieve a “miracle” Champions League triumph in Madrid on June 1.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
