Victor Boniface was on target as Bayer Leverkusen ended their pre-season with a 2-1 win against Newcastle United on Saturday.
Boniface, alongside Nathan Tella, were introduced into the game with 10 minutes remaining in the game.
Leverkusen got off to a perfect start as they took the lead in the first minute through Ibrahim Mazda.
With one minute left to play in the first half Newcastle drew level thanks to Malick Thiaw.
But Boniface got the winner in the 82nd minute after dribbling his marker before slotting past the keeper.

Leverkusen recorded their sixth win in the seven pre-season matches (one defeat) they played ahead of the new campaign. Their only defeat was a 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
They will open the new season in the first round of the DFB-Pokal against third division side Wehen Wiesbaden next Saturday.
Boniface spent last season on loan at Werder Bremen, making 11 league appearances and two assists in an injury-ravaged campaign.
