Premier League: Iwobi, Ighalo Help Everton, Man United Secure Vital Wins

Alex Iwobi was in action for Everton who ended their winless streak with a 1-0 victory at Norwich City in the Premier League on Wednesday, Completesports.com reports.

Iwobi who made his 20th league appearance for the Toffees this season, was replaced by Anthony Gordon in the 90th minute.

Going into the game against Norwich Everton had not won their last four consecutive games and last tasted victory in February.

Michael Keane was the hero for Everton after he scored 10 minutes into the second half.

The win took Everton to 10th on 41 points and are eight points from fifth position which could be a Champions League qualification place if Manchester City are ban by UEFA.

And at Old Trafford Odion Ighalo made his sixth Premier League appearance as Manchester United defeated Sheffield United 3-0.

Ighalo is yet to get on the score sheet for United in the Premier League since joining them on loan from Shanghai Shenhua, scoring only in the FA Cup and Europa League.

Anthony Martial was the standout performer for United following his hat-trick which came in the 7th, 44th and 74th minutes.

Martial is the first United player to score a Premier League hat-trick since Robin van Persie in April 2013.

Also, he is the first United player to score a Premier League hat-trick since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

United have now gone 13 matches unbeaten in all competitions, their longest run since 2016/17.

They are now fifth on 49 points and are just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

Just can’t remember Iwobi saying he is maradona, Messi or Pele or even his uncle Jay jay. This guy is just his own unique player, giving every manager he plays under what they asked of him, reason, everyone of these managers keep playing him. Despite all the attacks on him, which can easily affect many a player, Iwobi is still giving good performances. May God continue to protect him n his talent. Ever a fan ALEXANDER THE KING IWOBI.

Iwobi’s critics on this forum knows nothing about the technical aspects of the game, that is why I don’t usually go into debate whenever they start running their mouth.

They have gone into the hide soon they’ll come out. Yes Ejuke is good and I like him but let’s never downplay other players when we find alternatives

Thanks @ Chima@samuel. To be honest Im almost regretting replying him at all after speaking to well respected visitor to this forum. Anyway he can carry on, won’t waste my time replying him. Thanks to everyone who replied his unwarranted tirade.

@Chima, don’t be quick to point fingers. Remember you were once like VICTOR few weeks ago against CHAIRMANFEMI. Insulting him without having anything meaningful to say at the end.

We are watching all of you

        • Chima E Samuels 4 years ago

Yes i did that because he actually used a language i didn’t like of which i ignored and then i sensed another arrogance in his comments as regards a veteran which prompted my disgust. That aside its not in my nature to spit fire most especially to decent forumite, for example Deo,sunnyb and co, this kind of people will never see my negative side even Glory whom we sometimes don’t agree but theres a way he speaks that doesn’t offend you.
