Qatar 2022: Argentina’s Central Bank Considering Putting Messi’s Face On Currency

Argentina’s Central Bank are reportedly considering putting Qatar 2022 World Cup winner Lionel Messi’s face on a new banknote.

Messi led the Albiceleste to a third World Cup title on Sunday after overcoming France 4-2 on penalties at the just concluded Qatar World Cup.

Messi scored twice in regulation time which ended 3-3 with PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe bagging a hat-trick.

And according to El Financiero, Argentina’s Central Bank are said to be contemplating honouring Messi by putting his face on a banknote.

The publication claim the country’s financial governing body are looking at ways to celebrate their World Cup win, one of which involves immortalising Messi on their currency.

The report adds that putting Messi’s face on the 1000-peso note is the preferred option, as the figure begins with the number 10 – the shirt number famously worn by the 35-year-old.

Messi and his Argentina team-mates flew home after their World Cup victory and were greeted by millions of fans packing the streets of Buenos Aires.

The team’s open-top bus parade had to be abandoned as hoards of supporters clamoured to get a look at their heroes, with one even attempting to jump onto the bus from a bridge.

Other climbed up lamp posts, while an extraordinarily large number of women celebrated by removing items of clothing, leaving their breasts – and other areas – exposed.

OGA the BALON D’OR became open for NON-EUROPEAN PLAYERS from ’95/’96. A YEAR later MARADONA RETIRED while PELE had RETIRED ’77…

You don’t understand English that is why you didn’t fathom why I wrote Equivalent To Fifa player best during his days. You lack football wisdom that is why you use team accolades as your criteria to select an individual achievement. Pele and all his teammates that won 3 World Cups can as well be fighting Messi that won every trophies including 8 personal Baloond’or that some great players didn’t even win a single before hanging their boot. You and those Kenkey united boys will just be having sleepless night over Messi and Argentina instead of accepting reality and rest in peace.

Then Their MARADONA and PELE (SOUTH AMERICANS) were INELIGIBLE because then the AWARD was a FRENCH/EUROPEAN FOOTBALL AWARD, AWARDED and ORGANIZED by a FRENCH MAGAZINE to EUROPEAN FOOTBALLERS…

It was from 1995 after they had RETIRE that FIFA had to PARTNER with the FRENCH MAGAZINE and it METAMOPHOSE into FIFA BALON D’OR..FIFA BEST PLAYER of the Year etc..

          So you see DUMB HEAD…

They WOULDN’T have WON it then….

No, that is not enough. They can do more than that.
They should also put his face on toilet paper.
So anytime you want to wipe your patootie, you see his face.
    Great way to immortalize him.
