CAFCC Draw: Rangers Get Tough Foes, Face Etoile Sahel, Sfaxien In Group B

Nigeria’s representative in the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup competition, Enugu Rangers face a herculean task qualifying for the quarter-finals of the competitions after they were drawn against two Tunisian sides – Etoile du Sahel and CS Sfaxien alongside Salitas FC Burkina in Group B of the competition, reports Completesports.com.


In a draw ceremony held in Cairo on Monday afternoon, Enugu Rangers who ousted Bantu FC 4-2 on aggregate in the playoffs will open their account in the group stage against Salitas early next month, before facing Etoile du Sahel and CS Sfaxien, who have both won the competition four times respectively. 

In Group A, three Morocco teams were drawn against each other, with defending champions Raja Casablanca, Hassania Agadir and RS Berkane joined by AS Otoho of Congo.


Group C houses Zambian giants, Zesco United, Nkana FC, Ghana’s Asante Kotoko and Al Hilal of Sudan.


Zamalek, five time winners of the CAF Champions League will face Kenyan side, Gor Mahia, Petro Atletico of Angola and HA Hussein Dey of Algeria in Group D of the competition.


The round-robin group phase starts on 1 February and ends on 15 March.

    CAF and their incompetence…! How can they pair 2 or 3 teams from the same country in the same group. Does it makes sense…? When will they ever grow up in that organization…?
