Enugu Rangers forward Zeidine Ousmane has been invited by Niger Republic for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Pharaohs of Egypt, reports Completesports.com.
The game will be played on Saturday, March 22nd at the Seyni Kountche Stadium, Niamey.
“Our ambassador, Zeidine Ousmane, set to distinguish himself for Mena of Niger against Egypt in an AFCON 2019 qualifiers on Sunday, March 23, 2019,” Rangers announced Zeidine’s invitation on their official Twitter handle on Friday.
The forward has struggled for regular playing time with the Flying Antelopes this season with the likes of Bobby Clement, Kelvin Itoya, Ajani Ibrahim and Micheal Uchebo ahead of him in the pecking order.
Ousmane was in action Rangers’ 2-0 home loss against Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu last weekend.
He is part of the team that will face Salitas of Burkina Faso in a CAF Confederation Cup match day five encounter on Sunday in Ouagadougou.
The Enugu club need a win in the game to salvage their hopes of making it to the next round of the competition.
Niger are out of contention for place at the 2019 AFCON finals that will staged in Egypt in June.
The West Africans occupy bottom position in Group J behind Tunisia and Egypt, two former winners of the competition.
