Red-Hot Onuachu: I Love Scoring Goals

Genk forward Paul Onuachu says scoring goals is his primary duty after firing a brace in the club’s 3-0 home win against Zulte-Waregem on Wednesday, reports Completesports.com.

Onuachu increased his goal tally to 22 following another impressive for Genk at the Luminus Arena.

The victory ended Genk’s four-match winless in the Belgian Pro League.

“Scoring is my job, hey”, a delighted Onuachu said after the game.

The forward also reflected on his two goals in the game.

“I realise better than anyone that I am not a player who will dribble a few players myself … I need my teammates to score.”

“With that first goal Ito does a fantastic job with that heel. Munoz came over again. That boy is crazy, he keeps going. As a striker I just had to be there,” he explained.

“At the corner of the second goal I faced a very big , strong boy (Seck, ed.). So I had to think quickly to get rid of him. I did not do that on strength, but by quickly changing direction.”

Sadiq Umar is far far better than Onuachu.

  • Hope you start doing your ‘job’ for the Super Eagles very soon. It would nice if you make the above statement ‘i love scoring goals’ after a game with the Super eagles.

  • For your club and not for your country….lol

  • Lately, 50% of the news item has been on Onuachu. Is this a PR spin (with some Euros tip reward) or one or a few of CSN staff are ardent fans of this guy and are pushing for his regular invitation, in spite of his dreadful performances (bar his debut match) in the SE colours? Or it’s just a case of the guy being the hottest news commodity on SE players out there at the moment?

And how much Euros did he pay to news outlets in Europe who have reporting about his goalscoring feats lately sir??

Can you please name the last time a Nigerian player scored 22 goals in 23 league matches in any top 20 League in Europe??

Whether he shines for SE or not doesn’t make him less a Nigerian. So as the leading Sports media outfit in Nigeria, CSN will always report his exploits as the leading Nigerian soccer export anywhere in the world today!

Enjoy the rest of your day sir.

@Kel… Is it about Kelechi Iheanacho you want them to be reporting? Even if Iheanacho dey Malta league he wont score 15goals… Kelechi Iheanacho was forcefully converted to top striker, guyman is an old fashioned No 10. in a treqiartista system… that’s why he is being average at striking duties.

  • Harland and mbappe didn’t do more than this before big clubs grab them and command huge transfer fee, Paul is doing well and his stoke gonna go high, I won’t be surprise if a bigger club grab him next year for a huge figure.

Give Onubaba service into the box, and the net will shake.
Out of 3 or 4 good crosses, one will enter.
Without service, e no go work. Onubaba’s SE colleagues, especially the wingers and fullbacks, we ask you to please do the needful. Whip in the required crosses for him, AND HE WILL SCORE.
