Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed his interest in Jadon Sancho, sparking rumours they could make a move in the summer.
Klopp says the Reds were interested in Sancho before the teenager joined Borussia Dortmund but had no chance of signing him as Manchester City would not sell to them.
Eighteen-year-old winger Sancho moved to Dortmund, Klopp’s old club, in the summer of 2017 and has been a huge hit.
This season his impressive form for the Bundesliga outfit, who currently top the division, has led to him making three appearances for the England national side.
Klopp said: “With the English players, it is a smart idea because we would never have a chance to get Sancho.
“We are not blind – we saw him, we liked him and then we think ‘can we get him?’ No. Because English clubs don’t sell them to other English clubs.
“I don’t know exactly what the reason is for that but they don’t do it. Now they can go to Germany, which is a wonderful league.”
Reports are already moving into overdrive suggesting that Klopp now feels he will have a better chance of striking a deal, albeit it for a much larger fee than the £8million BVB paid.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
