Remo Stars Boss Ogunmodede Set Join CD Feirense Coaching Crew

Remo Stars Football Club have announced that Coach Daniel Ogunmodede will be joining Portuguese side, CD Feirense as part of their Coaching Crew.

This comes after ensuring the club’s return to topflight football and in a bid to ensure a top development for our coaches Daniel Ogunmodede will be moving to Portugal to enhance his knowledge in the game and gather more experience in Europe.

Ogunmodede joined as an Assistant Coach and also the Head Coach of the Youth Team in 2015, and were runners-up in the Metro League played in Lagos. He was an assistant to Nduka Ugbade when the team had the first ever promotion into the Nigeria Professional Football League in 2016.

The club established a youth system in 2016, Daniel Ogunmodede was again called upon to head the academy, producing young talented players who traveled to Europe and some promoted into the senior side of the club under his watch.

Coach Ogunmodede also qualified the Youth Team of the club for the Federations Cup after coming second in the Ogun State FA Cup and the team went ahead to defeat Bendel Insurance at the Akure Township Stadium to qualify for the round 16 of the competition.

In 2020, Daniel Ogunmodede was appointed the Head Coach of the senior team and the pioneer Director of the Youth Football Development. He has now secured the team’s return to the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Before the commencement of the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League season, he traveled to Portugal for coaching apprenticeship.

Speaking with RSFC Media, The Chief Executive Officer, Lukmon Ogungbefun says he is quite happy about the improvement, and he wishes him the very best as one of the assistant coaches in CD Feirense, Portugal.

“First I must appreciate him and the technical crew for securing the team’s return to topflight football, we are so happy because we know that we belong to the top, and we will continue to try our best to remain at the top.”

“Ogunmodede has done well for Remo Stars since he joined, he helped with the development of our youth system and has now secured the team’s return to the NPFL and that is one of the reasons CD Feirense has requested to have him as one of their coaches in their senior setup.”

“All I can say is that I wish him the very best in all he does because the reward for hard work is more work, so I pray he succed as he joins our sister club in Portugal.”

On his replacement, the club is working so hard to get a new coach who understands our philosophy.

“We are looking to get a new coach that will replace Daniel Ogunmodede, someone who understands the club’s philosophy and very ready to move the club forward to a greater height. We are working on it, and I am sure his replacement will resume very soon.”

      What garbage are you saying, abeg leave the ex-internationals out of this discussion. Have they not played the game to the highest level. And have they not bagged the necessary licenses to coach, sit down there and be ranting needlessly
