“Watford, with club boss Gino Pozzo, simply convinced me in the discussions,” Okoye told transfermarkt.

“They put their trust in me and I will fight for it and give everything to be number one.

“I believe in the quality of the team, I pray and hope that they stay in the Premier League. It has to work with this coach.

“My management Prime11 has been in close contact with several clubs from the Premier League since the beginning of the year, clubs with which they have worked for a long time: Southampton, Burnley and Crystal Palace were also on my side and in extensive discussions with my management. Two French clubs also presented something to me.”

Appreciate him and move on, I was in support of him at a time, then I was against him after I saw his performance against cape Verde which before that he fumbled in the friendly match against Cameroon. Mean while after the match against cape Verde he returned to his club and had excellent performance which I come to realize that he’s lacking confidence in SE colour. Moving to premier league will help build his confidence and help him to improve. Definitely with the way he’s having confidence issue in SE colour, he may have such issue in his first few games, it now depend on Watford couch to give him that trust and I hope he will be a starter which means it will be a good thing for our team going foward
