Leicester have been boosted by the news Manchester City are reported to have dropped all interest in full-back Ben Chilwell. A new left-back was thought to be high on the wanted list of City boss Pep Guardiola as Benjamin Mendy has struggled for fitness all season, but reports claim his plans have changed.

It seems as though Guardiola has been impressed by the form of Ukraine international Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has proved to be a more than able deputy when stepping into to replace Mendy. It means that Guardiola is happy to go with what he has got in that position for next season and will use the money saved to strengthen other areas of his squad.
Such news will come as a big relief to the Foxes, who have been bracing themselves for offers for the England international- Chilwell, and City are one less club to worry about. Leicester are expecting another summer of transfer speculation with Harry Maguire and James Madison among the players to be linked with a move away.
