Rodgers Demands Strong Foxes Finish

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers says he will treat each of his side’s remaining six Premier League matches like a cup final.

Rodgers saw signs during the 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday that the players are beginning to take on board his ideas, having replaced Claude Puel just over a month ago.

The former Celtic manager was particularly pleased with Leicester’s pressing against the Cherries and wants the team to continue to work hard until the end of the campaign.

“We want to do our best until the end and treat every game like a real cup final,” said Rodgers. “If you want to succeed in the game you have to put maximum intensity into it and in the Premier League every game is tough and is a real challenge. “It was a very good performance.

We had cohesion and the way we pressed was outstanding, starting with Jamie Vardy at the front and the whole team followed. “When I came in here I wanted us to finish the season strongly and then have a good pre-season.

I came here because they are a fantastic group of players and they have shown hunger and a wonderful appetite to learn and that is very pleasing.”
