Rodgers First Choice To Replace Puel

Leicester are reported to have made Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers their number one choice to replace Claude Puel should he be sacked. The Foxes board are understood to be giving serious consideration to ending Puel’s 15-month stint in charge at the King Power Stadium, with fans having made their frustrations with the Frenchman known on social media.
Despite getting the better of Chelsea and Manchester City in December, supporters are unhappy with Puel’s cautious style of play, while a shock FA Cup loss to Newport and last Saturday’s home defeat to Southampton have done little to improve the mood around the club.
A third successive loss at Wolves on Saturday could be the final straw and the Sun are claiming that, should Leicester move on from Puel, they will make a move for Rodgers.
The Northern Irishman is understood to be looking for a return to the Premier League after a trophy-laden two-and-a-half-years with Celtic and could be tempted by the job on offer at the King Power Stadium.
The Scottish champions would be due £1million in compensation if Rodgers moved on but Leicester are said to be ready to pay that in order to get a manager known for a more attacking brand of football.
