go and do what you do best – win!
just (for my sake sha) play Iheanacho and osimhen with iwobi dictating the tempo
    shame your haters!

  • Paderborn won away with 4 goals today but it was so unfortunate that our guy wasn’t in the list. Chima Okoroji took his place on the bench.

    • Abdul handsy 3 years ago

Jamilu Collins played 90mins in that match, you may recheck it again if you don’t mind sir.

I hope they keep up the winning streak and get promoted back to the german bundesliga proper comes next season.

      • Thanks bro..I’ve been able to sight him with number 29.
        Happy to hear that

  • Meanwhile, Joe Ariball is already on two goals with just 36 minutes of play from Midfield postion. Who come say we no go kill Algeria if this guy play that match.

    • Goal ⚽️ 3 years ago

Rohr is a Defensive Coach therefore no Garantie that he will win this current Algeria team if joe played.
We need a solid bench if are to do anything meaningful in Africa and the world.

Instead of replacing Omeruo with a midfielder, he decided not to call up any player as his replacement showing the kind mentality he has.

So no excuses on why we were defeated.

      • Omo9ja 3 years ago

@Goal, lolz. Please we have to keep telling them the truth. We have to keep explaining the issues of the gaffer to his fans and NFF.

Look at the way Sean is making excuses for Oga Rohr? Can you imagine that ba?

All I have to say is, I thank God for we patriotic Nigerians for making our efforts counts. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

and Osimhen nets for Napoli. Sweet cross to the back post for him to gracefully guide into the net with his forehead. A carbon copy of his goal vs chile at the U17 world cup in 2015

This is what napoli wingers has failed to do. Nice one Osi

  • Kingston 3 years ago

this has nothing to being a rohr fanatic… but to expose the inaccuracy in your argument
    1. “We need a solid bench if are to do anything meaningful in Africa”. let me start by asking you this question – do you regard winning the bronze medal as ‘nothing’? if so, then in this case, over 80% of African national team has been doing nothing. and the bench role part, I hope you aren’t blaming rohr for the situation of the kind of players we have currently. just so you know about 30% of our players are of dual nationalities and rohr played a massive role in convincing them. this include ariball, balogun the defense boss, ajayi west brom heartbeat, akpoguma, etc. all the players I mentioned play regularly. but of course, rohr haven’t done anything meaningful, according to you that is.
    2. “Rohr is a Defensive Coach…showing the kind mentality he has”. this statement, likewise, shows your mentality. Mourinho had also been tagged defensive minded, but as always let the trophy do the talking. so tell me, in the last 10 years which of our attacking minded coach did anything meaningful according your definition of meaningful. Rohr had one chance to the afcon and returned with a medal, funny part is with the kind of players that you gave him. none of them made Africa team of the year, the top striker at that time did his trade at China, while the Algeria that won it had mahrez, Senegal had mane and the likes.
    3. “keep telling them the truth. We have to keep explaining the issues of the gaffer to his fans”. this is just hilarious, why? truth is perceptional, that is, it is defined by you or someone. so tell me, what’s your version of truth? you that named how nff should employ assistant coaches and the kind of players that should be invited, listing the likes of kayode (humor me). it seems that your understanding of human management isn’t much. what if the coach you want to be rohr assistance has egotistical problems with rohr, thus promoting strife behind the doors and headlines. as long you are a fan you have no right whatsoever to dictate what should be done. the best you can do is to suggest, and that you disagree should be confined to the case where the current formulas isn’t working. in that case, tell me what is not working currently for super eagles since rohr took over? that he should have gone to afcon and return with the world cup trophy? that as super eagles went to the world cup tournament, they should have won it? using players like mikel, moses and musa against the likes of pogba, mbappe, hazard, etc. a coach once said that good players make good coaches. just in case you doubt, look at lampard.
I know you dislike rohr for whatever reason only you know, but this write up is for those that still harbor doubts about the gaffer. I’m not saying he’s perfect, no. I’m saying we should give him time
I mean no harm, friends. still love your contributions though, because it helps us debate about what we love.

    • @Kingston what else should I type here? Its just a shame that they will still come tomorrow with another TRUTH (as they claim). Just be careful before that start seeing you as another Dr drey.

  • Ayphillydegreat 3 years ago

A midfield of Aribo, Iwobi, Etebo should hold their own against any team in Africa, just like they did against Ukraine. Hopefully Ndidi will be available in the next FIFA window and by then we should have Ejaria in the fold. With the likes of Azeez and possibly Nwakali our midfield should be just fine to prosecute the WorldCup qualifiers after we might’ve qualified for the AFCON in this window. Anyone who want to underestimate the SuperEagles can do so at their own peril. They said we should boycott the qualifiers, but they’re still here criticizing the coach. Lmao!! We already know their type. Let them keep yapping. It doesn’t change anything as long the SuperEagles continue to progress.

  • @Kingston….
    Are u not tired???

U see pple whose brain have been “BRAIN WASH”…..

    Pple that are CLUELESS….

    Pple that lack proper “HOME TRAINING” exhibiting what their parents injected in them when they were kids…. { bcos had it been they were properly trained at home, the spirit of schism, bitterness, hatred, nepotism, racism, envying, fault findings, selfishness, greediness would have been destroyed at home….. As rightly said; WE ARE THE PRODUCT OF OUR ENVIRONMENT(HOME)}

Just allow them to keep disgracing their generation…..

How on earth would a living man never appreciate what a fellow human being like him does?

    This is pure witch craft….

No matter how i dislike a person, once such a person does something that deserves appreciation, i can never hide it from him….
That’s how a normal reasoning human being should behave….

Not a type that keeps complaining, quarreling, hating, discrediting what a person does even when the evidence is there….

    Just allow them.

So what has Rohr done now that we should appreciate?

Instead of replacing  an injured Omeruo  for a midfielder (the main reason he invited 10 defenders was for him to assess them more fully and make up his mind on his preferred choices) he decided that he is okay with 4 midfielders and that he initially prefer more defenders than having more options in the middle.
What if any injuries in any of the midfielders?

Onuachu that he invited, can he play to his strength? If not shot one as usual.

The problem I have with you guys is that you think you know it all and that everybody must sound like you guys, forgetting that we are not here to sound politically correct or to please anybody.

You would have sound more wise as you claim if you didn’t add insults to your submissions.

    • Ayphillydegreat 3 years ago

“Not a type that keeps complaining, quarreling, hating, discrediting what a person does even when the evidence is there’. The above caption sums up yourself. You’ve already described your type above.

      • Ayphillydegreat 3 years ago

What has Rohr done that we should appreciate? We don’t need your appreciation anyway. You guys are the ones complaining that he invited 10 defenders of he decides not to replace Omeruo heaven will not fall. He now 23 players to play two games of which not all 23 can play the two games. The midfielders he already invited are good enough to play against any team in Africa talk less of Sierra Leone. If una like complain till Jesus come it doesn’t change anything.

      • Whether @Goal abi na @Own-Goal;

… So what has Rohr done now that we should appreciate him????
        ….

        The list continues….

  • Last week or two weeks ago wasn’t that long. You were part of the people that complained of too many defenders in the list. Now one of the “too many defenders” is now injured and you still want another defender to be added? Wahala come too much like this against sierra Leone? Alright.

  • _ Are the Super Eagles on the rise? _

Gernot Rohr would not only be expected to return the Super Eagles to winning ways against Sierra Leone in November Afcon qualifiers, his team will also be expected to record their first clean sheet in over 12 months having conceded at least 1 goal in each of our last 6 games.

The last time Nigeria’s defence proved impregnable was in the Afcon 3rd place playoff against Tunisia on July 17 2019.

Looking back now, that win against Tunisia was a precious one because ‘victory’ is also something the Super Eagles are finding hard to come by lately having managed just 2 wins (against Benin and Lesotho) in our last 6 games.

One can argue that the loss and draws recorded by Rohr’s Super Eagles between August 2019 and October 2020 were against formidable oppositions in the way of Algeria, Brazil, Tunisia and Ukraine.

But this argument would be odd, wouldn’t it?

Afterall, one of Rohr’s greatest appeal and mojo was his ability to overcome seemingly hopeless odds and inescapable defeats.

These were evident in the way he brushed heavyweights Cameroon and Algeria aside to qualify Nigeria for Russia 2018 and then demolish World Cup winners Argentina in a famous 4:2 victory in the 2017 friendly.

    So, what has changed?

Is Rohr’s Super Eagles no longer a giant killing outfit?

What we are seeing is the slow chipping away of what had made Rohr untouchable earlier in his Super Eagles reign.

Even the mantle of invisibility surrounding Nigeria’s rise in the Fifa rankings is starting to ebb away as the Super Eagles slipped down 1 place in Africa in the latest table; we gave way to a team that is truly on the rise: Algeria.

I believe that there are warning signs from the outcome of the most recent matches of the Super Eagles. This is a team that will concede goal(s) against any calibre of opposition; a team a with the propensity to let victory slip through their fingers.

Despite pulling from the widest possible pool of available players, the absence of team members like Osimhen, Ndidi, Aribo and Etebo could still have a devastating effect on how the team performs.

But is it all bad? I don’t think so.

In the last 12 months, Nigeria remains a team that will be hard for any opposition to break down easily. New players like Sanusi and Akpoguma are being introduced to the team without any destabilising effects – indeed they have proved to be worthwhile additions to the squad.

Other exciting additions are in the pipeline, thanks to Rohr.

But glaring question remains : are we just paparing over obvious cracks? Is the love for Rohr blinding many fans to the fact that the Super Eagles could have punched slightly above their weight in the past 12 months?

Nigeria will face Sierra Leone in an Afcon qualifier double header next week in games we are expected to win.
Nothing will suffice other than a minimum of 4 points laced with convincing displays from the Super Eagles.

If not, then it will definitely be panic-stations!

We must learn to live the job of a professional to the professional and stop sounding and writing like we know anything about it.The Coaching team all have cumulative experience spanning over 50years and some of us who only watch football for fun and passion will show up as though they have a coaching Badge.

We have a mid section comprising Aribo,Etebo,Iwobi and Frank Onyeka.Dont also forget that Semi Ajayi can play at the mid section which makes it five midfielders. At every point depending on the team formation the coach will use a minimum of 1 and maximum of 2 dm at the same time and we have four right now,so what is the complaint about.

Don’t know why there is so much noise about the coach inviting 10 defenders. Are u all aware that there are 9 attackers? Whatever happens 4 of those attackers will play same with defenders. We should not sound as though the coach will also use all the defenders at the same time. The team is absolutely balanced and not even a pep Guadiola will complain about it.

The Coaches work their socks out deliberating and analysing situations with players to use and not to use and why they should be use and not be used. This process also goes through scientific analysis as well before a conclusion is used. The reason the Coach will invite so much defenders is because of the the New defender from Germany who needs to fill the team in a real time situation.Aside from that there is nothing wrong with the team.Dont expect too many players in the mid section even in the main tournament. The only person we eagerly await his arrival is Ndidi and nothing more. So we will have Ndidi,Aribo,Iwobi Etebo and Onyeka sefini.

Yes we all have a right to our opinion but,pls it should be intelligent one which will thinker with our reasoning and not annoying one devoid of any mark.

Pls criticise the Coach with sincerity and not sentiment.By now Omo9ja should be ashamed of himself for being so inconsistent and clueless with analysis. You criticise the Coach so much for doing a perfect, technical and intellectual job,but you keep making simple grammatical and analytical errors.Who is worse u or the Coach?.Your analysis is always so poorly put together that even u can’t understand it.Fews months ago you Omogja condemned the coach so much for inviting a goal keeper from a 4th tier and today that keeper just a few months after is a first choice in Holland, and u are now clamouring for him,now tell me who is the clueless one the Coach or you.

Many of the Rohr critiques don’t even see beyond their nose and that is the perthetic part, yet write as though they are so intelligent and right with their point.Well only time will tell who the clueless one is whether Rohr or u guys.

    • Ayphillydegreat 3 years ago

You couldn’t have said it better. Thumbs up to your eloquent remarks. Shebi they say the coach is too defensive and complaining like say tomorrow no dey why he invited 10 defenders. Now they’re complaining that he should replace an injured defender when there are various options on his initial list of 24. One of them was crying all over the place last month why Azeez was not called up despite the fact the he’s been injured for some time now. They want Nwakali despite still struggling for playing time at his club. Only time will tell I wonder wether we’re playing against France or Sierra Leone that complain about the coach is this much. Lmao!!

  • Emmanuel 3 years ago

Cheers @ Ayphillydegreat.May be it will just be better we ignore this people as I see them as attention seekers. You will see that after this match they will all run into their coven, especially when we come out successful a sign that they hate anything good.

  • @Emmanuel…
    @Aphyllidegreat….

I think there’s no point dragging issues with these guys knowing very well that they are all “FAULT FINDERS” and ATTENTION SEEKERS…..
Always looking for any slightest chance to complain…. Some times i wonder the kind of attention they’re looking for.

They were here crying for ONUACHU to be invited only; but Rohr decided to invite ONUACHU and use him for about 70min. The young man put them to open shame by doing nothing spectercular. Rohr has invited him again, the same pple that were asking for boycott are now questioning Rohr on why Onuachu is invited.

These pple are just confused…. All the faults and lies they’ve been peddling on that innocent man just to tarnish his image and discredit his labour is just in futile….

When super eagles were termed “super chickens” i wonder were they were hiding…. Now they pop up from nowhere and quickly become CSN sport page analysers….
CSN forum coach without any batch….
    Is life not wonderful?

    • JimmyBall 3 years ago

Playing Sierra Leone no be match… They are just another shade of Lesotho… A scoreline in both headers less than 3 – 0 will be a slack-performance for Super Eagles… If we were playing Cameroon or Senegal person go the salivate to see how we matchup!

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Sierra leone nor be match, but a SE team comprising of the Kanus, Olisehs, babyaros, okochas, etc of this world lost to Sierra leaone in 2001. Nor be ordinary guinea and congo dump us out of 2012 and 2015 AFCONs. We never learn from history. As if we never play Cameroon and Senegal b4. Abeg make we hear word. Playing Sierra leone nor be match….Put off your tv when the match is about the start na.

  • Whether @Goal abi na @Own-Goal;

… So what has Rohr done now that we should appreciate him????

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eycEQQT5No Rohr was in early. The coach seems focused. Good Luck

  • Whether na @JimmyBall abi na @Jimmytennis….

Playing sierra leon no be match abi???

So u knew this but when Rohr invited 4 DMs, 7strikers, 9/10 defenders u organise ur team of haters and started weeping, crying, gnashing teeth, wailing and even trying to go on fasting over the list as if we’ve not humbled this ur world best cameroun team b4….

U shouldn’t have cried since u knew we were facing sierra leone na.

I thing this truelly shows that all this hate speech is just out of ENVY, BITTERNESS, GRUDGE et all….

Better clear ur thought o!…. BP is still real; my humble advise though….
