Rohr Shuts Door On New Players For Super Eagles

Rohr Shuts Door On New Players For Super Eagles

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has put on hold the possibility of inviting new players to the team ahead of upcoming games, reports Completesports.com.

Rohr’s charges started their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on an impressive note recording back-to-back wins against the Squirrels of Benin and Crocodiles of Lesotho.

The 66-year-old stated that bringing in new players might disrupt his plans for the World Cup qualifiers next year.

“There are no more friendlies, so there is no more time to invite new players we don’t know,” Rohr told reporters at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Wednesday .

“We need harmony in the team and if you are bringing in new players to do better for the team than they are doing now, which one do you want to push out of the team?

“Those players must be really better than what we have already.”

The former Girondis Bordeaux of France coach also stated that he is delighted with the current competition in the team.

“I hope everybody will be fit, we miss some players for the (AFCON) qualifiers like Oghenekaro Etebo, Bryan Idowu, who could not come. But now there is a very good competition for starting positions, which is very good for the level of the team,”he added.

“It is good to have competition and to have such good players, now we have four very good central defenders but I have to choose two or play three like we did in the second half in Lesotho.”

The Super Eagles will resume their AFCON 2021 qualifying campaign with an home game against Sierra Leone on August 31, 2020.

Hahahaha you make me laugh. You are very right. We are all expecting Omo9ja to start his criticism again. Best thing is just for everyone to ignore his comments. Its a free world hes free to say anything but just ignore.

    • Lol

Omo9ja go don dey boil like dt

  • Oga Rohr, hope Tyrone Ebuehi is in this your core, established group? Cos I don’t get the stylish sidelining. The way he bombs forward with flair and grit is always a beauty to watch. While your current defence men of Ekong, Ajayi, Awaziem, Omeruo, Collins, Aina are solid at the back, only Ebuehi and Aina tend to have some great winger skills and contribute more going forward. And Ekong helps too in the central roles.

And for the goalkeeping department, are you saying we’re stuck with Akpeyi and Ezenwa until further notice? It’s time you request a new goalkeeper trainer in place of Alloy Agu please.

  • competition? does iwobi ekong akpeyi and collins have competition in that ur team??

they should stop this coach from talking.

though, there is a point he made which is true. but we need ejaria and desser and uduokhai.

“…..We need harmony in the team and if you are bringing in new players to do better for the team than they are doing now, which one do you want to push out of the team…..Those players must be really better than what we have already…..”

    As simple as ABC.

The current SE is not a ground for trials anymore…..if your favorite player does not have the capacity to walk into the starting 11 the way Aribo did…..keep him to yourself or advice him to tripple his hustle….QED!

Enough of clamoring for players invitation to be bench players. The ones currently on the bench cannot even get enough time to play yet in the 1st instance.

ROHR YOU ARE JOKING BY SAYING THAT REMEMBER YOU WILL NOT STAY AS NIGERIA COACH FOREVER

HAVE YOU NOT SEEN EBERECHI EZE QPR PLAYER ??????
    CHUBA AKPOM???
    CHELSEA YOUNG STAR
    NIGERIA YOUNG GOAL KEEPER
Nigeria Has Finally Found J. J. Okocha’s + Replacement. Watch Out For Ebere Eze of QPR England. Amazing Skills!

WE HAVE SO MANY NIGERIANS THAT WANTS TO PAY IN SUPER EAGLES PLEASE STOP SAYING THAT IF YOUR SON STILL YOUNG AS A NIGERIA AND YOU SAID YOU WILL NOT INVITE ANY NEW PLAYER WILL HE BE HAPPY WITH YOU ??

BECAUSE OF THIS SPEECH YOU MAY LOSE YOUR JOB VERY SOON

    • @ROHAR

You have just typed garbage sir
So Ebere Eze should be dragged with juju when he said he needed time to think about the switch right?

Go ahead and sack him na Mr Chairman

Chuba Akpom that has once turned deaf ears to switch of nationality is now lobbying when his hopes of England dream is no more reachable, NONSENSE!

Nigeria is really blessed with quality talents both home and abroad, it’s not possible all these players get a call up at once. So try and think things through before typing

    • Oakfield 4 years ago

      Lol…. Who’s this one bikonu….. Chai… Lol

    • How can you find someone that refuses to be found, this guy is not interested in playing for Eagles, he opted to sit on the bench for England’s u21.

  • One can only take the statement made above by Coach Gernot Rohr slightly on face value.

Between now and next August is a very long space of time: players will rediscover form, lose form and other hitherto discovered ones will come to prominence.

What has to be kept in mind is that Rohr’s pool of players is wide – very wide indeed – which makes his statement above slightly watered down.

As of my last count, there are about 40 players that Rohr has worked with which – should he invite some presently underperforming ones for matches next year – would still find a way to fit into his narrative above of not inviting new players.

Isaac Success, remember him? Utin Udoh, Josh Maja, Iheanacho, Musa Mohammed, Simmy Nwankwo, Ebuehi and the likes. Should any of these super-fringe players rediscover form between now and August next year, there are all the chances that they will earn a recall.

The beauty of the matter is that Rohr has a large pool of very decent players to pick from.

As the Super Eagles are the last (national) team standing now among all our national teams, it is what Rohr does with these pool of players that would really count.

  • There some who don’t follow the Super Eagles and their form in the teams they play for, the watch them play only when Super Eagles have a match. They also don’t understand English well which not be fault, they are also so prejudiced that sometimes they read just the caption of a write up an immediately jump to conclusions and begin to pour out rubbish because they have data. Please contribute to an argument sensibly and without prejudice.
The coach rightly explained that he needs to build more cohesion in his team with the players he has and would only admit only a player who is exceptional enough to displace the once he has, this should be clear even to an imbecile.
How can anyone jump up today to start talking about Eberechi Eze? It only confirms thar such a person has not been following the youngman and his progress enough to know what efforts Rohr has made to bring him on board and what his response has been.
Who will Ejaria bench in the current Super Eagles? Do we really need more on the bench now that the caoch is moving towards a cohesive team building? Do we keep auditioning players forever?
I think we need a team and when we have someone new who is exceptional then he can be invited to add steel to the team. Stop jumping on here after reading and old article about a player to display ignorance on the current state of the team

    • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

Hahahaha….dont mind them. Na the transformer wey carry light enter their village blow.

Some people are still making noise about Eze here when the SE has already moved on.
Imagine Eze preferring to go sit on the England U21 bench rather than come and stake a claim for the no 10 position in the SE alongside Iwobi.

The 21-year-old made four starts for England at U20 level while coming off the bench in three games before he was promoted to the U21s, meaning he wasnt even considered a super regular for the U20s…got called up for the EURO U21 qualifiers against Turkey and Kosovo in September but was not utilized off the bench….only came off the bench in the 81st minute last week against Albania U21s and made a start on Tuesday, playing only 62 mins. If he ever thinks he will make it with the 3 lions with this kind of bit part role at youth level, then I wish him good luck.

It will take another 12 months or so to get a FIFA clearance to play for Nigeria….yet someone is out here ranting at Rohr.

    • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

The likes of Ojo and Akpom have already indicated interest to suit up for the SE and have already submitted their applications to FIFAwww.completesports.com/rangers-forward-ojo-ready-to-dump-england-for-nigeria. We will need to wait and see how long their approval will takewww.completesports.com/akpom-dumps-england-opts-to-play-for-super-eagles. Recall Ola Aina’s nationality switch application took 12 months. Also it was reported some time ago that “3 Others” have secretly started processing their applications too…..so we keep our fingers crossed. The likes of Ehizube, Udokhai, Torunrigha may be amongst these secret admirers.

      • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

The likes of Troost-Ekong, Balogun, Ajayi, Aribo, Iwobi, Aina switching and going on to make progress with the SE has surely give some of these foreign born kids more motivation to switch to Nigeriawww.completesports.com/lookman-ready-to-dump-england-for-nigeria.

Lets expect more of them between now and August when their applications hopefully would have sailed through.

    • tancosports 4 years ago

you are exceptionally brilliant and very conversant about the current SE TEAM. i like your submissiion sir

  • Glory 4 years ago

People should not take the above statement allegedly made by Rohr seriously. I m very convinced Rohr must have been quoted out of contest. Just an attempt by some to create unnecessary confusion as the NFF is closing on renewing Rohrs contract. There is no where in the world, where a right thinking manager would shut doors to new players especially when there is not even a major tournament at hand. Between now n August is almost a whole year n many many things could happen. So this story is only for the birds to fly to tents with. It definitely makes no sense.

  • Those of u stil ranting on EZE to be called, how many times must we keep disgracing ourselves b4 de world?…..
Rohr and nff met and discus wit him but Eze rather prefer a call up and to sit on england u21 bench…..
If pinnick and rohr would have a kind of my heart and ignor all those boys dat sees nigeria as fallback option or (plann B) in their choice of nationality and save us from all diz harassment…..

Today the likes of AKPOM, JORDON IBE who once rejected an oportunity to play for nigeria are begging for a call up…..

I belive one day eze wil come begging for invitation wich wil be too late by then….

OJO, EJARIA while at liverpool never hide their intention of playing for england rather than nigeria…. But bcos things hav chage they now want to play 4 super eagles……

We need players like V.MOSES, IWOBI, EKONG, BALOGUN, OKOYE, ARIBO, MAJA, ( NNAMDI OFORBHO, DELE BASHIRU, BRIGHT ENOBAKHARIE all U20/ U23),, (JINADU, JOSEPH all U17),, AINA, AJAYI, IDOWU & EBUEHI dat wil willingly choose to play for nigeria without being begged, persuaded or even compelled….

    • Mercy 4 years ago

@ub you spoke my mind, I have said it on this forum before that many of these so called foreign born players are just using Nigeria as a bait to get call up to their respective countries of birth. I don’t blame them, it only takes loyalty to chose Nigeria ahead of these european countries. The money they are bound to make playing for England, Germany o boy is tempting!

  • Honest i am disapointed with this ebere eze. How can he be so dumm for not taking this early upportunity with the eagles and begin to earn international fame instead he ran to england under 21 to play 15 min left. At ur level they couldnt give u a starting shirt at under 21 and u are hoping to be in the national team. He should be ashamed of his self secondly wat was he doing at eagles camp in london and also pretending to love naija when actualy he doesnt care.it seems u dont know wat u want. Asking for time. Stupid boy i am not sure u are real igbo. Jamaica involve for ur blood

  • Omo9ja 4 years ago

Now people can see clearly that I don’t hate coach Rohr.

How on earth our world class coach would have said this?

“I hope everybody will be fit”
Coach Rohr is thinking about today but forgetting about tomorrow. How would that be possible?

Injury is part of the game but this our coach doesn’t believed that lost of form and injury may occur between now and next year. Who knows tomorrow? Absolutely nobody.

This is why I love section 419 and section 4110 of my constitution.

Section 419 says, “you can’t give what you don’t have”.

Meaning, Oga Rohr is very satisfied with the likes of Akpeyi, Collins?
    Hmm, it is well oooo.

    Further more,

“We need harmony in the team and if you are bringing in new players to do better for the team than they are doing now, which one do you want to push out of the team?

“Those players must be really better than what we have already.”

Did you use Okoye? Did you hear about Osegwe? He is better that Akpeyi.

Hmmm, this is very interesting. As a world class coach, you don’t have to say this out.

What you have that is making you keeping you job till today is man management. That is it.

You should have kept that in mind but saying that out will make your current team relaxed. That’s where my section 4110 comes in. “Digital era”

You had the opportunity to played Ukraine and Brazil, you should have reviewed those two matches and analyzed what went wrong.

Why did you draw those two matches and why did you win the two Afcon qualifiers matches? But instead, you played Lesotho and Benin and you satisfied with your players while Nigeria never short of quality players? I hope your fans are reading your comment?

Chai, how market Nigerians? Shall we continue with this our world class coach?

Do you think coach Rohr will win anything meaningful for Nigeria?
In the end, I hope we are not going to regret why we have Oga Rohr in charge of the Super Eagles team?

I am really sorry for my dear Super Eagles. The level of the Super Eagles team is way ahead of coach Rohr. If you know you know. It is simple as that. Well, what do I know. Ire o . God bless Nigeria!!!

    • JimmyBall 4 years ago

…if Coach Rohr continues to ignore Peter Olayinka I will know Super Eagles is still largely man-know-man… the only Frontliner in current SE that has any quality compared to Olayinka is the young Osimhen… I don’t know why he keeps iviting Mikel Agu… I am fully aware coach Rohr has partners who run DW Sports management agency… nothing less than seven current Super Eagles squad members are signed to that sports management outfirm in France through the influence of Rohr… those players always get called up every now and then… He has abandoned Simy Nwankwo and tagged had to call one obscure Bright Osayi Samuel who no one knows from Bulgarian league… Peter Olayinka and Simon Nwankwo are good strikers we need in Super Eagles… We are being relaxed because Osimhen is doing well but if anything like injury hits him… Who do we turn to for goals… is it the likes of Iwobi… Samuel Kalu… a winger or Moses Simon? Chukwueze is a fantastic player but largely a winger also who we cannot depend on for goals… recently Victor Osimhen had to shout that others like Kalu and Chukwueze should help shoulder the responsibility of goal scoring… this is where Simy Nwankwo and Peter Olayinka can help… God bless Super Eagles! I don talk my own… Mr Rohr and NFF over to you guys… invite players based on form and merit…Super Eagles is nobody’s parlour… every Nigerian player is lighting it up and doing well should have a chance of invitation at any time…

      • @JimmyBall, on Peter Olayinka and Simeon Nwakwo, I agree with you. Let me also add Tyrone Ebuehi. Maybe there’s something else Rohr and crews see that we don’t. But having Paul Onuachu as a main players and Peter/Simy as fringe players look strange.

For me, I’ll keep Onuachu, Simon Moses, Ezenwa, Akpeyi on the fringe/standby list and in place will come Simy, Peter, Ebuehi and a new goalkeeper discovery. The rest may be good to go on current form.

        • JimmyBall 4 years ago

… @Kel you are 100% correct. Onuachu should not be ahead of Simy and Olayinka…

        • Ikeben 4 years ago

@Kel, it really surprises me that you keep clamoring for Tyrone Ebuehi who has not been in form this season. It is ok to have your favorite player but you must try to follow up such players to know their present condition in their clubs. Tyrone since his move to Benfica has not been beset with one injury to the other. After the long injury lay off after the world up has also had other injuries at the beginning of the season.

Even when he is fit he is yet to make any apperance in the Portugeese league apart from only 2 Substitute apperance in the Portugeese U-23 team. Is this the player that should be called up. Even Rohr had even called him up once before the Ukraine friendly but had to be substituted because of fitness issues. So players like Tyrone Ebuehi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Leon Balogun and Henry Onyekweru all are having difficult times in their new clubs and until they bounce back to becoming first 11 players in their respective clubs or a new club, they cannot be invited by our great coach.

Then Moses Simon that you want to keep on standby list won the best player in his club for the month of October in Ligue1. He is scoring or providing assists or his overall performance has been very impresive for Nantes this season. Having scored 5 goals and 2 assists in 12 matches in all competition. Even in Super Eagles provided assist against Brazil and had to good shots on target against Lesetho that was saved by the keeper. Infact Moses Simon has the best numbers compared to all our current Wingers

Samuel Kalu, 1 goal 2 assists in 12 matches
Samuel Chukwueze 2 goals 2 assists in 12 matches
Moses Simon, 5 goals 2 assists in 12 matches
Ahmed Musa, 2 goals, 1 assists in 5 matches

So based on this statistics Moses Simon is our most current prolific winger and also great defensively no wonder he won best player in his club last month. So coah Rohr is getting it right in my opinion

      • Omo9ja 4 years ago

@JimmyBall, well on coach Rohr’s issue, NFF and the coach doesn’t know what to do.

Don’t be surprised if you see the return of Salisu Yusuf and Imama in the Super Eagles.

This people are just playing politics game.

Did you hear anything about what Amaju said about refresher course?

The system is very corrupt and for us to change the face of our sports in Nigeria, it’s going to take the grace of God to do so. Hmmm, so sad.

It is well. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • Pompei 4 years ago

Just as other forumites have said, I suggest that we need to add the following to the mix of players competing for jerseys:
    SEYI OJO
    BUKAYO SAKA
    OVIE EJARIA
    SADIQ UMAR
    CYRIL DESSERS
    CHIDERA EJUKE
    AZUBUIKE OKECHUKWU
    SIMY NWANKWO
These are players that we simply can’t ignore, based on current form.
Leon Balogun and Kelechi Iheanacho should be closely monitored. These guys are natural ballers. I don’t care where they play. Even if it is in Tahiti Or Fiji, as long as they are fit and playing regularly, they can be useful for us.
Having observed Akpeyi against Benin and Lesotho, I think the guy has stepped up his game. He should be invited to slug it out with other invitees for the starting jersey. Okoye is the future. Ezenwa will get better with regular football. Uzoho please get well asap!

    • Glory 4 years ago

Well said @ Pompeii. Anybody saying or wishing that new players should not be invited is only expressing his or her selfishness / insecurity, probably for players they are kinda related to maybe as agent, friends, family etc. A good player will always welcome competition, while pretenders will continue to pay for these type of lie reports to be made. How stupid to think Nigeria is there to serve stupid personal interest. Just why God bless Nigeria is still where it is today. Wicked people who are so blind that they can’t even see beyond their nose always scheming to have Nigeria serve them only. They have failed anyway,as even Rohr will not be able to stop new players from being invited otherwise he will get himself into trouble. If there was a major tournament happening in 5 or 6 month, then it will make a bit sense. I m 100 % sure Rohr never said that n even d NFF won’t accept that.

    • JimmyBall 4 years ago

…@Pompei… Mbano! We don’t need Akpeyi… that’s a goalkeeper who will usually be full of confidence against the likes of Lesotho… Benin Republic….chad and Niger… the moment he is in goal against the likes of Argentina… Germany… and England you will just notice the extreme fear and confusion that is natural to him and often in those situations he becomes more ugly looking… Akpeyi is no different from the likes of goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim… he should just go and mind his club football and allow younger goalkeepers like Okoye… Alampasu and Uzoho grow more in confidence which will naturally come with more game time… Rohr and Alloy Agu are very confused when it comes to decisive stance…

  • It is about time you close your doors. All those calling for bring this one bring that one, is already creating problems in the team. Honestly some of the guys needs to leave. All the hype about aribo didn’t see him do much against a much lesser team in Lesotho. Will give him another match to see what he is made off

  • Nobody completely shuts the door on new players. The national team is an exercise in continuing improvement.
There will always be “breakthrough players”, players that cannot be ignored.
The national team needs a pool of approx 35 plagues. The first 11, the bench 12 and then another 12 or so to cover for injuries, suspensions, loss of form etc.
Now let’s say Iheanacho changes clubs and starts banging in goals, let’s say Kalu losses form, let’s say a core player gets injured or suspended, then the back up from the bench steps up and then the bench will need someone to replenish it.

All that talk of No new callups, doesn’t wash.

    • Pompei 4 years ago

      Well said.

    • Ikeben 4 years ago

If we understand what he said, it really makes sense. Lets try to analyse it properly.

He says he is not planing to invite NEW players THAT WE DO NOT KNOW. So this does not include Iheanacho because he is not a new player. So any player who fell out and suddenly improves and is doing well in his club can be recalled, Just as Idowu was recalled. So if you understand that then you know we have up to 50 players he can work with. And the reason for this is clear is because he does not have any friendly match to test any fresh player.

So now he wants to concentrate more on team harmony before the next nations cup because he believes he now has multiple good players in each position.

Then he now added that for a new player to break in now, the player must be really really very good to really displace his first 11 player. Maybe the player must be at the level of the Messis or Ronaldo’s of this world. But if it just to get a new player to come and increase the no. of bench warmers then there is no need for that now.

So he is not really shutting the door completely but he is simply stating he is going to concentrate more or building a good team harmony which is great. And if NFF gives him more friendly matches we could consider testing a new player but that player must be really really good. So I concur with him. He knows what he is doing in my opinion.

    • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

      Of course @ Big D.
The current SE has that pool of 35 players at the moment.
Even a child born yesterday knows that all things being equal, SE starting XI is

      Uzoho – Ekong,Balogun,Aina,Collins – Ndidi,Aribo,Iwobi – Chukwueze,Osimhen,Kalu

and a 2nd XI which can perfectly deputize for the first XI comprising of

      Akpeyi – Omeruo,Ajayi,Awaziem,Idowu – Etebo,Agu,Ramon – Musa,Simon,Onuachu

      and a 3rd XI of

Ezenwa – Shehu,Eze,Ebuehi – Esiti,Onazi, Uche, Ogu (still not retired form SE yet) – Onyekuru, Iheanacho,Simy

not to talk of a possible 4th XI of players whom we haven’t tested like the likes of

      Okoye – Musa Mohd,Anaemena,Ozonwafor,Utin – Azubuike,Chidera Ejuke,Nwakali,Okereke – Dennis, Olayinka, Umar,Akpom

and then a probable 5th XI which will consist of our potential foreign borns who we are still waiting for to decamp

Osigwe, Okonkwo,Ojo, Ejaria, Ehizube,Udokhai, Torunarigha, Dessers, Saka, Adekanye, Otabor and the rest of them.

And I’ve not even listed the likes of former youth internationals doing well in Europe like Mustapha (leftback in Bulgaria), Issac Success (England), Ifeanyi Matthews (Midfielder in Norway), Hilary Gong (Midfielder in Netherlands), Adebayo (GK in Israel), Yahaya (Wing-back in portugal), Alhassan yusuf (Swedish league’s young player of the year 2019), Leke James (Striker in Norway) and others who can suddenly spring up as the weeks go by.

Lets not even look at the 4th and 5th XI…..the 2nd and 3rd XI whom we have tested and national team level and we know their abilities are still struggling to get game time, even though any of them can step in for anyone in the XI without any cause for alarm.

      Just as ROhr said;

“…..There are no more friendlies, so there is no more time to invite new players we don’t know……..” Rohr told reporters at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Wednesday .

So pls, what’s the point calling more players to camp when your 2nd and 3rd eleven are not even having enough opportunities to play.

Someone like Onyekuru for instance, his biggest hurdle in the national team has always been injuries. Fate somehow contrives to ensure he is injured or unfit, wen the SE list is about being released most times and then the likes of Kalu and Chukwueze took up the available opportunities and tied down spots for themselves… a situation Onyekuru has been unable to overturn so far.

Unfortunately for him, he isnt a traditional centre forward who can play the role Ighalo and Osimhen currently playing. He happens to be more of an inside forward and thus has to contend with Kalu, Chukueze, Simon and Musa. Now we’ve also got Dennis and Okereke on the wings. If he doesnt sort out his club issues quickly and these ones too tie down a permanent place, some nitwits will come here and hurl insults on
Rohr as if the world has to pause and wait all the time for Onyekuru to be available.

If we cant guarantee at least 2 friendly matches every FIFA window till August next year then Rohr has every right to shut out new untested players. We cant keep experimenting with our team with high stake qualifying matches.

We need to build a perfect chemistry and understanding within the ranks of our current team. We saw how they seem to have blended perfectly in the last 4 games and we only need to continue in that stride. That is the catalyst for snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. If not for a perfect blend and chemistry, I can bet Benin would have walked away with a victory in that 1st match. They were that organized. And we will surely meet more organized teams by the time the 2022 WCQ commence next year too.

So the earlier we started blending what we have now, the better for us. Like I said earlier, and like the coach said, unless there is any player who is Clearly and exceptionally better than our current 1st and 2nd XI and can walk into the 1st XI the way Aribo did, then I’l be the first to champion the invitation of such player, but if it is one to be called up to start battling for a place on the bench, abeg lets stick to the ones we have.

All 35 players in the pool currently cannot loose form at the same time.

      • Glory 4 years ago

@ Drey all this talk about Rohr closing door is false or someone may have misunderstood Rohrs point. I read today, same Rohr talking about inviting foreign born players still processing their switch. So what are we talking about here? Invitation of players to national team at such early stage before a major tournament is never restricted by marginal number but by exceptional quality n that’s the norm everywhere. I suspect Rohr was trying to answer questions relating to invitation of home based players. Every player presently in that whatever number be it 35 or 50 just have to continue to perform at very high level otherwise their place is up for grab by any better quality. We must never allow for laxity. Again Rohr I believe should know we can invite some if only to get them commited to Nigeria while looking to the future for them to finally be a part especially those with great future potentials such as Saka. NFF has done credibly well n I trust them to get lots of friendlies next year but like you said if they fail to get any, then we are stuck we what we ve got if only to build chemistry.

        • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

          Boss…you are very correct.

It is even very straight forward, except for people who have comprehension problemss

          – “……There are no more friendlies, so there is no more time to invite new players we don’t know……..”

          – “…….We need harmony in the team and if you are bringing in new players, should do better for the team than they are doing now…”

          – “….Those players must be really better than what we have already…”

          – “….I hope everybody will be fit, we miss some players for the (AFCON) qualifiers like Oghenekaro Etebo, Bryan Idowu, who could not come. But now there is a very good competition for starting positions, which is very good for the level of the team…….”

Leave people who want us to call up all the 780 professional players we have in Europe all in the name of giving people opportunities to fight for shirt.

Rohr has given 42 players their debuts in the SE in 3 years now, yet they say he doesn’t like to take risk. Until he give 550 players their debuts and keep changing the team before they will be in good terms with him….LMAO

@Drey, Due respect to you, a really good analyst but I m not boss, just Glory. Not one to enjoy such ego trip as boss, chairman, big boy, sir etc lol. Definitely not me. Every human deserves respect irrespective of education, age, status, colour, position etc n this is my way. But Drey, I don’t think we have invited enough oo. Lol. I only agree that catching birds, must not include keneri..but true eagles (SE). So in my opinion invitation is still open for new players to be tried in friendlies. One other thing is Rohr should try give any new player/ players enough game time in any forthcoming friendlies just so they can prove themselves.
