Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr says the team has learnt from their disappointing performance in the 4-4 home draw against Sierra Leone and will avoid same mistake against Benin, reports Completesports.com.
The three-time African champions will take on Benin at the Stade Charles de Gaulle, Porto-Novo on Saturday.
A point from the game will see Super Eagles book a place in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon.

“The lesson from the match against Sierra Leone is that we cannot relax even when we are leading in a match, we have to fight till the end of the match, we have to stay concentrated,” Rohr stated.
“Benin wont be easy , but we are confident, we have good players, some of them are doing great at their clubs, so we want the qualification which will be possible with a draw. That’s the first step for us.
“To win that game will be very, very difficult, but we should not lose the match.”

In this era of high profile kidnappings in that country, I’ve just been praying to God the Almighty that pirates shouldn’t just conceive the idea of waylaying our national team in their canoe enroute Cotonou come friday.
Abi o
Dr. Drey my guy, I thought I was the only one praying oh. While we at it praying I wonder what our NFF officials will be doing as a plan B in securing our National Treasure being moved over the sea where pirates thrive aplenty. Please use your connections to get them to think outside the box ohh… I suggest a drone or two should fly 500 feet above our team escorting them to Benin and back. WDYT?
You didn’t learn anything from the past mistakes and please Oga Rohr stop talking and go get the job done period.
Against, Algeria you made big mistakes twice but you didn’t learn.
Against Argentina, you made Nigerians cried and you claimed your team was young them.
Against Madagascar, you and your followers claimed you just used the reserve team.
Against Sierra Leone, your team were leading and in front of you, Leone star started scoring and didn’t do anything and now you said Sierra Leone Taught Us Hard Lesson, We Won’t Underrate Benin?
No excuses.
Fingers crossed. God bless Nigeria!!!
We’re now bargaining a draw with Benin. A draw is now our Target with all the players we have in our squad compared to Benin squad?? And we’re thinking of winning AFCON and reaching Quarter Finals at the World Cup… I laugh in Irhobo
Go and win AFCON without qualifying first na….LMAO. Go and win it the way you won 2012, 2015 and 2017 AFCONS even with your best players at those times too….LMAO.
Truth is bitter. I’m not a blind clown like you Drey. So I choose not to pick up silly arguments with you boy.
I said what I said.
“…Sierra Leone thought us a hard lesson”, says the gaffer! So you did not learn any lesson from the one Madagascar thought you at last nations cup? Well.. just be sure you will not learn another one again come March 27th. May God keep us all till then…

This is what our next opponents look like.
Hehehehe…..Senong is even South African. South African coaches are getting jobs outside their homeland, our own ex-internationals are in their parlors ganging up on Zoom to pull down Rohr with lies b4 they can get jobs from NFF….LMAO. Countries like Benin, Niger, Chad, Togo, CAR Equitorial Guinea are too small for them to coach…..its either they coach the SE or remain jobless…LMAO
Lolz if they don’t coach super eagles they can’t coach another team.
