Super Eagles winger Henry Onyekuru bagged an assist in Monaco 2-2 home draw against Nimes in their French Ligue 1 clash on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
Onyekuru set up Algeria forward Islam Slimani for Monaco’s opening goal in the contest.
The hosts who surrendered a two goal lead in the game are still looking for their first win of the campaign after losing their opening two games.
In Italy, William Troost-Ekong played a key role as Udinese started the new Serie A season with a 1-0 home win against AC Milan.
Troost-Ekong featured for 90 minutes in the game and helped shut out Milan dangerman Krzysztof Piatek from finding the back of the net.
Rodrigo Becao netted the winning goal for Udinese 18 minutes from time.
New Super Eagles invitee, Joe Aribo was also in action for 90 minutes in his Scottish club, Glasgow Rangers 1-0 win against St. Mirren.
Aribo, 23, has featured in all of Rangers’ three league games this season, but is yet to open his goal account.
In Greece, Anderson Esiti and Chuba Akpom were both in action in PAOK 2-0 home win against Panaitolikos.
Esiti was involved from start to finish in the encounter, while Akpom took the place of Karol Widerski in the 67th minute.
Kenneth Omeruo ended on the losing side with Leganes going down to 1-0 home defeat to Atletico Madrid.
Omeruo was replaced by Jose Arnaiz in the 77th minute.
