Sadiq Returns To Real Sociedad Training After Lengthy Injury Layoff

Nigeria forward, Umar Sadiq is back in training at LaLiga club, Real Sociedad after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Sadiq sustained a cruciate ligament injury against Getafe in September.

The forward trained with his teammates for the first time on Tuesday.

“Look who’s back training with the group! 🙌Sadiq!,the club tweeted.

Sadiq linked up with Real Sociedad from Almeria last summer for €20m.

The club also posted a video of Sadiq joining up his teammates in training and he was welcomed with a guard of honor.

The 26-year-old made three appearances for Real Sociedad before sustaining the injury.

      Highlt unlikely.  First step is making the matchday lineup.  Then minutes off the bench.  This is an acl injury comeback we’re talking about here

    • Unlikely. You don’t rush players back into the starting lineup after a lengthy spell on the treatment table. Thats just a recipe for him to break down again.

      He may not even be on the bench. He’s only had one training session with the squad. I think the target will be for him to get a few minutes in the remaining games this season and to prepare him for next season
