‘Sancho Is One Of Man United’s Biggest Transfer Failures’ –Saha

Former Premier League star, Louis Saha has branded Jadon Sancho one of Manchester United’s biggest transfer flops in history.

Sancho, 23, made a £73 million move to United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021. He is set to return to the German club this month on loan after he dramatically fell out with manager Erik ten Hag.

The Manchester City academy graduate has made 82 appearances for the Red Devils and has only scored 12 goals. He hasn’t played for the Red Devils since August 2023after Ten Hag banished him for openly criticizing him on Social Media.

According to The Mirror, former United and Everton striker, Saha claimed Sancho’s transfer will rank among the costliest in the club’s history. And further said he doesn’t have the necessary mindset to be successful at a team of that calibre.

“Jadon Sancho is one of Manchester United’s biggest transfer failures,” said Saha. “You can’t have that type of quality sidelined because of his mindset.

“You can’t leave him out for six months because of that. The only thing that should stop you is injuries. We know that he’s good enough, which is why it doesn’t sit right. You can’t be putting yourself in that situation and thinking you’re bigger than the manager.

“Whatever happens, I don’t back Sancho – which is hard for me as a supporter of United. It’s just horrendous.”

According to several reports, Sancho is on the verge of rejoining Dortmund, the club where he scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists in 137 competitive matches.

Before his move to United, the England international, as a Borussia Dortmund player, won the DFB Pokal and the German Super Cup, as well as the Bundesliga Best Young Player Award in 2019.

The 23-year-old will hope the move back to Germany will rejuvenate his career as he eyes a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad ahead of the 2024 European Championship in Germany.
