Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has hailed the quality within the Eintracht Frankfurt side ahead of tonight’s Europa League clash.
The English Premier League side are the favourites heading into the semi-final first-leg clash at the Commerzbank-Arena, but Sarri says his Chelsea side are in for a tough encounter over the two legs.
Frankfurt, who currently sit fourth in the Bundesliga, are unbeaten in 11 home games in the Europa League, winning nine of them, and will be looking to continue that sequence tonight. “I respect Eintracht very much,” said Sarri. “They have played against Inter in this competition, and Benfica. “They are a very dynamic team, with a great intensity.

They play with the same characteristics as Slavia Prague, but the quality is different, especially in the offensive players. “They’re really very dangerous at home, but also away.
So, for us, it will be really very difficult to get to the final, I think.” Chelsea’s task will be made even harder as they are struggling for central defenders after losing key players to injury, something Frankfurt will be keen to exploit.
