Seagulls striker Aaron Connolly has been named the Premier League 2 Player of the Season after finishing as the top scorer.
The Irishman scored 11 league goals for Brighton and Hove Albion’s Under-23 side while he also netted a further six goals in the Premier League International Cup and Checkatrade Trophy.
He left the Amex Stadium on loan in February and made a couple of substitute appearances for Luton Town in League One. But his contributions for Simon Rusk’s Seagulls Under-23s earlier this season put him on the radar of several clubs as the 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign.
