Brighton are believed to be waiting for the green light to talk with Swansea City boss Graham Potter about becoming their new manager. Having taken the decision to sack manager Chris Hughton on Monday, Brighton are thought to have identified Swans boss Potter as an ideal candidate to fill the void at the Amex Stadium.

Potter guided Swansea to mid-table in the Championship this season and was able to develop players, like winger Daniel James, who are now being linked themselves with moves to the Premier League. Swansea are thought to be keen on keeping Potter at the Liberty Stadium but the lure of top-flight football might be hard for the South Wales outfit to compete with.
