Senegal’s Issa Sy has been appointed centre referee for the Super Eagles versus the Squirrels of Benin in next Wednesday’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Group L fixture at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo, Completesports.com reports.
Sy will be assisted by his compatriots; Nouha Bangoura (assistant referee 1), El Hadji Abdoul Aziz Gueye (assistant referee 2) and Fatou Thioune (fourth official).
Munkaila Nassam Adam from Ghana will serve as match commissioner, while Algeria’s Kria Samir Bouzareah will be the referee assessor.
The match will kick off at 5pm.
The Super Eagles will also face Lesotho in their matchday two encounter of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers in Maseru on November 17.
The qualifiers will resume in August 2010 after an eight-month break. And the Super Eagles will host Sierra Leone on August 31 while the reverse fixture will be played eight days later in Freetown.
