Serie A Round 22 Preview: Napoli Look To Make Up Lost Ground Against Sampdoria

Meanwhile, Rom and Milan meet in tight clash, while Lazio head to Frosinone

It may well be too little, too late for Napoli as February approaches in Serie A, but they could still catch Juventus and must treat their upcoming contest against Sampdoria as a cup final this coming Saturday afternoon (2 February). The following day, Roma host Milan in what could be the tie of the round, while on Monday evening Lazio head to Frosinone looking to climb the table once again.

First things first

Before you go any further, head on over to the Oddsshark website, find your favourite betting site and get your own account up and running using your credit card. As a new customer and with the Serie A campaign now over halfway through, there should be a wide range of promotions and special offers available to you.

Where should I be investing my money?

First up, the encounter between Napoli and Sampdoria this Saturday. Napoli sit second in the table but are a massive 11 points behind Juventus after they could only manage a goalless draw against AC Milan last time out – the side are now all the way out at 21.00 to win their first league title since 1990.

Sampdoria, by way of comparison, sit sixth in the standings but could jump to fourth with a win at the San Paolo – temporarily, at least. However, the side are out at 26.00 to finish the season in the top four and qualify for next season’s edition of the UEFA Champions League.

Regarding this match, it is Napoli who come in as the clear favourites to pick up the points. You can back the home side to win at just 1.36, while Sampdoria are out at 7.50 to win on the road – a draw is priced in the middle at 5.00, according to Oddsshark.

And we are expecting this to be a win for Napoli. A comfortable, 3-1 victory for the home side is priced competitively at 11.00, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment, while you could almost triple your money by backing a combo bet of a Napoli win, coupled with both teams to score, at 2.75.

Roma and Milan lock horns in tie of the round

The following day, Roma host Milan in what could very well turn out to be the best match in this round of fixtures. Roma are unbeaten in their last four league outings and could leapfrog Milan with a win here.

Milan, by way of comparison, currently occupy fourth spot, one point and one place above their next opponents. They have taken four points from their last two league games and are at 2.62 to finish the season in the top four, with Roma only slightly higher at 2.75.

And while the betting is close in this game, it is Roma who come in as the slight favourites to snatch the points. You can more than double your money by backing the home side to win at 2.10, with Milan out at 3.30 to take the points in the capital – a draw would appear to be the least likely outcome and is priced accordingly at 3.50.

And home advantage should be a key factor in deciding this contest. A narrow, 2-1 win for Roma comes in at 8.50, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$42.50 pay out, while you could almost quadruple your money by backing a combo bet of a Roma win, coupled with both teams to score, at 3.75.

Lazio need all three points on the road

And finally, Monday Night Football this week will see Frosinone take on Lazio. Frosinone are struggling at the wrong end of the table and sit next to bottom with just two wins to their name all season, while scoring at less than a goal a game and conceding on average two goals per 90 minutes – they are priced at just 1.16 to be relegated at the end of the season.

Lazio, meanwhile, are also struggling for form and confidence. They have lost their last two league outings which has seen the side slip down to eighth in the table.

Nevertheless, Lazio come into this match as the overwhelming favourites to take the points. You can back the visitors to win at just 1.44 while Frosinone, despite home advantage, are out at 6.50 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 4.50.

This should be a comfortable evening for the away side. A 2-0 win for Lazio is priced at 7.00, while you can more than double your money by backing under 2.5 goals in the game at 2.10.
