Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye conceded two goals while making three saves as Udinese secured a dramatic 3-2 away victory against AC Monza in Saturday’s Serie A match.
Despite letting in two goals from Monza’s Andrea Colpani and Gustavo Varela, Okoye delivered a vital performance between the posts to help resist a fierce second-half comeback and hold on for all three points.
On the other hand, his Nigerian compatriot, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, came on as a second-half substitution for Mout in the 54th minute and had a decent game.
However, it was Udinese who took the lead against the run of play when Mout gave it away in midfield; several attempts were charged down until Jakub Piotrowski was allowed too much time and space to sweep in from 12 yards.
Monza did get their deserved equalizer when Colpani sprung the offside trap from an inspired Mangas pass and kept his cool to beat the goalkeeper one-on-one.
However, the hosts crumbled by conceding two goals in the first-half stoppages.

Udinese threatened again with Ekkelenkamp and Davis efforts, but Monza got back into it when Ebeneezer Akinsanmiro stood up a cross from the left for Gustavo Varela to steer the header in from seven yards, his second goal in as many Serie A games.
All efforts to stage a comeback proved abortive as Udinese secured the maximum three points.
