Chievo Verona midfielder Joel Obi is happy with the performance of the team in Monday’s 2-0 home win against Frosinone, reports Completesports.com.
Alfredo Aglietti’s men bounced back from last Friday’s 3-1 home defeat to Spezia with a convincing win against the visitors.
Obi opened scoring for the Flying Donkeys in the 54th minute, while Emanuel Vignato added the second goal a minute later.
Obi was later replaced by Giovanni Di Noia in the 67th minute.
“I’m happy with the goal, but even more so for
the performance of the team after the undeserved defeat against Spezia,” he was quoted by tuttomercatoweb.com.
“We had to react,
we did it in the best way and I’m happy with this. ”
The 29-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Turkish club Alanyaspor has scored once in 22 league appearances for Chievo this season.
Chievo occupy seventh position in the table with 45 points from 31 games.
