Sheffield United, Atalanta Push To Sign Dennis From Club Brugge

Sheffield United and Atalanta are pushing to sign Emmanuel Dennis from Belgian Pro League Champions Club Brugge this summer, reports Completesports.com.

Dennis shot to fame with goals against Real Madrid and Manchester United this season.

According to Belgian publication Walfoot, talks between Atalanta and Club Brugge have slowed down in recent days after Sheffield United stepped up their interest in the forward.

Sheffield United have been linked on and off with Dennis in recent months.

Dennis is keen to play at the very top of the European game next season and a move to Atalanta will help him achieve that.

Atalanta are perhaps the most exciting side in Europe, scoring the most goals in a Serie A season for 60 years last term.

Club Brugge are willing to allow the versatile forward leave for £18m.

Whoever is handling PR stunts for this guy is surely working hard…..I will believe clubs are pushing for this guy the day he is eventually unveiled. From Arsenal to Dortmund to Sheffield to Milan to Atalanta, its different stories we’ve been hearing since February. His club too are not doing themselves a favour with the illusion of valuing a ‘9 goals and 2 assists IN ALL COMPETITIONS striker’ in Belgium (No disrespect to the Belgian league but come on….) almost $30m.

Well, I think his reputation and stock rose with the two goals he scored against Madrid. The manner he took those goals was breathtaking.Prior to that he actually played very well against other European teams he came up against,he is an exciting player with flare. Will really wish he goes to a bigger club.

  • 9 goals and two assit in 20 games is not a bad stat….besides he didn’t start all the matches…And also their league wasn’t completed because of the covid 19 crisis

Take note, the most expensive player in belgium currently is Diatta of club Brugge, and he only scored 6 goals last season

And also,if a player isn’t good he wouldn’t be valued that much

    • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

Actually…..its 5 goals 1 assist in 20 BELGIAN LEAGUE games and 9 goals 2 assists in 33 matches in ALL COMPETITIONS. Remove the 2 goals against Madrid and that’s 7 goals and 2 assists in all competitions for a FORWARD (who isnt even an established international player yet). You cant average 6 goals in Belgian league (no disrespect to the belgian league) every season and think any EPL club will look your way, not to talk of Atalanta and Dortmund. And for what price …$30m..? Even Kreppin Diatta whom you are comparing him with had 6 goals and 3 assists in the league and 8 goals 4 assists in all competitions as a midfielder. He is younger and already a seasoned Senegalese international and AFCON silver medalist but is only valued at $20m. Im sorry, the numbers dont just justify how ‘good’ he is and his price tag. Even the likes of Dessers and Umar who had more than double his goal contributions are not valued as high. There cant be so much “interest” in a player (as these PR stunts want to make us believe) since February and yet not even a single bid. As I said earlier, we will eventually believe he is in such hot demand the day he is finally unveiled by any of these clubs.

You bent on running him dow so tey you remove the goal he scored agaist MAN U. Just calm down and try to be calming down like this. The boy is good and need a better league to showcase it. More so he is naturally a winger coming in to score that number of goals despite so many injuries last season is commendable bro

“And try to be calming down like this” na this one knock me off my chair….. Haha haha….

… Don’t mind that Dr. Drey guy, Mr Analysis who has never kicked orange in his life, you think the life of a footballer is easy? The tasks and limits of extreme body workouts they submit themselves to even in biting winter should tell you playing football is no walk in the park… He is rightly valued… if an English hyped-up lad he will even be going for 60million pounds… Let’s learn to support our own! That’s how they dropped loads of criticism on Ighalo before he ever kicked a ball as one who does not cut a Man United fit… Eventually making him play second fiddle to lads who are just purely over rated…

Guys who are the new players that GR said are ready to play for SE?

  • Abdul andah 4 years ago

I think those two players could be Jordan torunarigha of hertha Berlin and Joshua onomah of Fulham fc. I don’t think Saka is part of the two players because Rohr said that he hasn’t spoken to him directly but also reaffirmed that he was the one who convinced those unnamed players to come join up with the super eagles moving train.

Thanks bro! My mind tells me one of the players is felix uduokhai.

      • Abdul andah 4 years ago

@Mercy, you may be right because during this lingering pandemic outbreak, Rohr might not had been able to go round Europe but he should had been able to speak with german-nigerian players who interest him because of his closeness to those players. He has always spoken so keenly about that particular guy (uduokhai) perhaps because he is a left footed central defender that of which is lacking in the super eagles defense line…

With time, the invisible shall become visible.

The stats shows thus:KREPPIN DIATTA:PLAYED A TOTAL OF 35 MATCHES, SCORED 8 GOALS, ASIST 4, POSSITION FORWARD EITHER RIGHT OR LEFT.NATIONAL TEAM CAP 13 SCORED 1 GOAL.

EMMANUEL BONAVENTURE:PLAYED 33 MATCHES, SCORED 9 GOALS, ASSIST 2.POSSITION CENTER FORWARD, BUT DEPLOYED MORE AS A WILD PLAYER LAST SEASON.NATIONAL TEAM CAP 2 NO GOAL.

Considering the fact that DIATTA played more games,Emmanuels starts is superior to his judging from the fact that they are both deployed as CF in their clubs and Emmanuel playing wild when they are both played together.

Emmanuel is made popular with his playing style, playing the typical Brazillian way with samba movement.Check the two goals against Madrid, staggering like he wants to fall yet kept his composure to score. He repeated this method several times even in the league.

He should be having more assist, but for poor decision making.Aside from that decision making the stats speaks for itself.

Like you said Dr.the hype is much, but such audacious aura can only last long around a good player. In other words if Emmanuel is not good the hype would have died the moment it started.Remember the hype around Neymar before he finally left Brazil for Barcer? It only hoose around good players.

Haven said that I will only keep my hands crossed and watch as the event unfold.

    @ Emmanuel….
No wahala…Dennis should sustain his media hype with no figures to show for it. We will only continue to hear that clubs are “fighting” for him instead of hearing that clubs are submitting bids for him. Diatta (an established senegal international) has never played as a CF for Brugge. He plays more as an outside left or outside right midfielder. He’s not even considered a winger, yet has as much goals and assist as the man playing further up the pitch as a forward, but we are not hearing Dortmund or Arsenal or Atalanta are fighting for him. Samba style does not earn transfers…figures do. Person wey born albino wey name am ‘oyinbo’ make he continue to dey decieve insef. From January to August, clubs have been “fighting” for him only on internet pages. Not one has submitted a bid. Na sidon look we go dey. I rest my case…!

    @ Ugwudede
Oga, it is you who needs to do the calming down o and stop being blinded by sentiments. Its not a matter of running him down. Its simply presenting the numbers the way they are so that the young man will stop deceiving himself with PR jobs. He should concentrate on improving his figures if he wants to move to a big club in a big league. As a forward, 7 goals per season average in EPL cannot earn a $30m move to all these speculated clubs talkless of such average from the Belgian league. If you cant hit double figures consistently as a forward in Belgium, is it in EPL or Seria A you will do so…? Clubs will rather sign a midfielder like Diatta who has almost equal no of goals and assists for a cheaper price. The boy is good, yes we know….but numbers speak volumes. From the beginning of this year and this is august, all we are hearing is that Big clubs are “fighting” for him, yet no bids (so where is the fight…?). Even EPL clubs are being added to the mix despite the pact that he hasnt even played 1 competitive international match yet….. who is deceiving who…??? Even the boy himself is already getting seriously distracted.
I repeat…we will eventually believe he is in such “hot demand” the day he is finally unveiled by any of these clubs.

    @JimmyBall.
I have no response for you. You are just a frustrated charlatan. You claimed to played football “to the highest level” yet you dont have a clue of the role stats and figures play in rating players and the transfer market….that is why Kelechi Nwakali to you is better than all Nigeria’s midfielders including Mikel……. LMAO.

Another guy that has been flying under the radar, but who is evidently doing well is ADEMOLA LOOKMAN. For his club RB Leipzig to have made the CL semis, they must be doing something right over there. And Lookman is always in the matchday squad. The guy benching him is Nkunku, a French international who is on fire at the moment. The way Liepzig have been playing, Lookman must be in good form to be making their bench. Rohr has a big problem indeed selecting players for our next matches. It’s a good problem to have though!
