    Always passing to the opponent.
I don’t see anything new in eagles playing style.

This sierra leone are useless they’ve been playing in a good pitch in Morocco but they moved it to this unplayable pitch to gain undue advantage. How did Caf approve this kind of pitch.

    Ndidi is becoming a calamity

    • Becoming? Began since 2020 and he is still 25 years old. Nigeria is apparently stuck with him because he is just entering his “prime”.

      • Tony K 11 months ago

I don’t know why the SE coach is still playing Ndidi. He has been disaster for some time for both club and country

  • Ayphillydegreat 11 months ago

Lost the ball to allow the Sierra Leone get a goal back pathetic

    • Emecco 11 months ago

Poor TV showing from Monrovia,. I can’t believe CAF could allow this kind of TV coverage, so unprofessional

    • Ndubest 11 months ago

Omerue is now go slow Ajayi would have stopped that guy. He is a calamity waiting to explode

  • Ola Original 11 months ago

How earth will NFF agreed with CAF to use this kind of pitch? This people cares for nothing except their pockets

    • Oga, until caf force us to use uyo now, no be potato pitch a whole Nigeria been dey use? Leave Liberia jare as dem no get too much resources to do pitches all over

      • Ola Original 11 months ago

@Sly, Olodo. Who is comparing stadium, I said “why does NFF agreed with CAF” Sierralone previously used Morroco as their home ground, why would they now change to this pathetic pitch and NFF will agree? Besides there are better stadium in Senegal, Cote de voire, Cameroon even Benin and Togo, they are all within west Africa. They can use any of those countries not Liberia that doesn’t have resources

  • Which kind match CAf is showing that there is no slow motion

  • MONKEY POST 11 months ago

    Na wa o!

We are PLAYING Common SIERRA LEONE and WE can’t keep a CLEAN SHEET…

    • Common sierra Leon played us 4-4 few yrs ago..

If not the bad pitch we would have scored More goals..

CAF should do more with approving certain pitches.. this isn’t Good for football

    • I tire. It seems the era of “hungry” players for Eagles is truly over. This na really gen z period

    • Ndubest 11 months ago

Your Rohr played at home 4-4 with same sierra leone. This boy or man you are pathetic and a hypocrite

      • I beg to differ. That was like aeons ago. The squad is supposed to have improve and been improved upon since but it is roughly the same team then as now so should you expect a different result after doing the same thing again? One team is not growing, period.

        • MONKEY POST 11 months ago

I tire o my brother so because GENERAL ROAH PLAYED 4-4 so una go dey follow suit..

With OSIMHEN, CHUCKWUEZE IWOBI on fire in their respective club this Squad should be better than the previous

  • Michael Adelami 11 months ago

When will Africa grow, what kind of pitch is this and why is the referee favouring the Sierra leoners over the Nigerians.
This is pitiful, why is there no VAR?
We as a continent are not ready to move forward in anything

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 11 months ago

    Very strange indeed!

They somehow conspired to miss the second Nigerian goal and there were no replays until Sierra Leone scored and then suddenly they had the replays for that??

Weirdness in Africa and especially when it concerns Nigeria – It’s impossible not laugh!!

The boys look like they’ll score every attack they have but they also look like they’ll concede – I know I asked for that last goalie to be replaced so it’s good to see a different guy but the way this dude got beat by a regulation strike like that is a bit suspect sha – nevertheless we remain in siddon look mode as this is his first showing so maybe it’s nerves, one thing that’s for sure is he must improve from what we’ve seen so far if he wants any hope of keeping that shirt O!

  • It is so shocking that nations cup is only 6 months away and 2023 super eagles are still playing like big men as if their team spots are already assured. Midfield is still tame as always. Defense? Always not understanding themselves and positioning. Nation columnist yesterday mooted the idea that home based stars were supposed to ideally prosecute this match because SL no be opposition like Cameroon or even Algeria to use 300 million for this match inviting foreign based guys.

I think he might write a rejoinder after watching first half.

  • Aribo and Ndidi are struggling in this game

    • No better ones on the bench so Nigeria is stuck with them. We are too loyal to certain players so they take matches for granted

    • Tony K 11 months ago

Two of them have been rubbish all year both for Nigeria and for their English clubs. And no surprises that their clubs were relegated out of Premier league. Time to overhaul the SE Midfield and the likes of Aribo and Ndidi should be replaced by younger, better legs drafted from U20 and U17 Eagles.

  • I pray that the super eagles lose this match because if we qualify for this upcoming nations cup, trust me,we will be disgraced. There’s no hope for super eagles because we can’t compete or go toes to toes with countries like Senegal, Morocco, Egypt, Cameroon, Algeria, ivory coast

    • Nawa o! So we are that worst to the extent that you prefer watching a country like Gambia, Equitoria guinea, Comoros, etc in Nations cup than seeing Nigeria playing because we’ve lost form?
So , the solution to our weaknesses now is not to qualify? Where are these people coming from self? Agent of Dooms.small time you call your self “Tee”

      • Ola Original 11 months ago

@Sesan, infact the guy tire me. There is always difference between qualifications and tournament proper. Morroco secured qualifications to the world cup by their teeth, they went on to reach an unprecedented stage at the tournament proper. The same Morroco was overwhelmingly beaten by SA yesterday. Most commentators here can’t even kick a ball straight not to talk of playing the game

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 11 months ago

Whoever said Aribo is struggling – you’re not wrong guy! He looks waay off! Needs to come off, I’m surprised this Pasero guy let him out for the 2nd and by the way where are all the home based we were told to expect?? Mehn which way Nigeriaa??
Talk about guymen speaking out the corners of their mouths lool!

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 11 months ago

    Ol boy na wah O!!

Ah ah, how can they be losing pictures of a game? This is the second time now, they’ve basically lost about 20% of the games action so far and I ask again WHICH WAY AFRICA!!!

Chaii Nna dem, This is very embarrassing for this blasted African continent – This does not happen anywhere else in the world no more – Not even in Kathmandu, Nepal or Tajikistan or anywhere at all, you name it!

Africa is no longer a 3rd world continent Oh, at this rate they must be 6th world at the very best, not much better than the bloody animal kingdom my peeps SMH loool!

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 11 months ago

Listen, no more argument about it! Chukwueze is a useless footballer, should never be called up again joor! What a waste of space that dude is! mtcheew!

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 11 months ago

They need to demote that referee because he looks incompetent!

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 11 months ago

Just as I was saying it!

This is all because of that stupid ref but also this Adebayo goalie is nowhere near good enough!

That ref must be on some egunje or something!

    • @Field Marshall You people called for the drop of Uzoho now. So live with it.

This coach could have had a Gift Orban to call upon who can also play frm the right. Well he shot himself in the foot with Musa invite didnt he.

Where is master cheerleader Musa skills in cheering the boys to victory from side line while taking up space of dangerous players.

Look anybody who supports this Musa thing again na heavy thunder go blow all of una dere

      • Point of correction. Uzoho was not dropped because of those people’s call but because he is serving a one match suspension as a result of two yellow cards. Uzoho remains Nigeria No.1 for now

    • He is better than ur uzoho

  • Friday 11 months ago

2 2. na wa o. Person wey say we don’t deserve to go is absolutely right. This eagles is crap

  • NFF MUST SACK THIS COACH BEFORE IS TOO LATE
    NONESENS COACH

  • Our Indomie Eagles at it again!

  • Going Forward we need our best legs both on the field and bench we need to have exciting players to call upon. ORBAN IS 1000000 TIMES BETTER THAN Simon Moses

  • @sean.. please when I’m talking, you need to listen to me. Have you forgotten that mr.pesseiro used to Venezuela couple of years ago. And he left there with a record of 1 win and 10 losses. So what made you think that he can perform wonders here. This is the handy work of pinnik that we’re seeing now. Again, I will keep on saying it. Nigeria has lost the fear factor in Africa and the whole world. This is a reflection of what’s going on in Nigeria. In facets of life,Nigeria has lost it. Our clubs cant even win a continental championship talked of even inviting them to the main super eagles. Until we start doing the right thing just as some serious footballing nations are doing, we will never get it right. I still stand by my words that I will prefer us not to qualify for this nations cup tournament rather than going over there and kicked out in the group stages…

    • Arara Kumbie 11 months ago

Peseiro has qualified Nigeria for the Afcon with games to spare. We will win the tournament next year under this coach. He is the Special One.

  • Arara Kumbie 11 months ago

@Marshall, the coach is fabulous. Nigeria will win this game. What you lack is patience.
    Chukwueze and Aribo were fantastic.

    • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 11 months ago

Nah mate – You’re mistaken, I am one of the most patient if not the most patient cat currently walking Terra firma – However you need to realise that football can be an emotive subject for ardent fans and even I may get a bit emotional but I always centre back so don’t worry about me – We don’t always have to agree and I make no apologies for what I say or do

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 11 months ago

Iwunze – you cannot say something like that – firstly Moses Simon is one of our best players if not the best bar Osimhen and Awo right now!

    2) Simon and Orban play completely different roles my guy – Orban is an out and out striker while Simon is a winger/full back even!

    3) It’s not all about Orban – you’re calling for Orban Orban, what makes you think he is the messiah? Abi have you seen anything that I or the rest of the world have not seen??

I watch him play almost every week and yes he is good but to be shouting as if it is only him and if they call him up we’ll win the world cup is a misguided sentiment my guy so my advice to you is cool down with all that Orban talk – It was the same when they were shouting Dennis this Dennis that, where is the Dennis now??

    • Orban can play down the right or left if you were interested enough and to watch him and see what the hype was All about you would have known this. Plus and the biggest plus as far as I am concerned Orban and Iheanacho are the only professional footballers Nigeria has now worldwide that know how to take free kicks. Eze and Olise would have been included had they not chose different alliance

    • I never saw anything like Orban is the Messiah in his comment o……I never saw anything like we will win the world cup with Orban in his comment o…..Then why the exaggeration just to mentain a status quo that is a time bomb waiting to explode?…..All he needs from his comment is for our best legs to represent us regardless of the wings they play……is that too much?….Haba who do us like this?…..who did Nigeria offend?

  • We were lucky we can’t be laboring to victory against seria leone and talking of winning AfCOn. Going forward Nigeria have to find and fund a way to invite her best legs it is our right and privilege as fans to watch our world Stars players who are bringing us joy and raising Nigeria’s name globally in this sport it is our right. And NFF should stop depriving us that. Moreover they have earned it as players..

Super Eagles must not be a place where finished legs are carried like sorry passengers

  • MONKEY POST 11 months ago

We still need to test other Goal keepers. I mean you can’t be a basket like this on your debut…

    No it’s Unacceptable!

    • Greenturf 11 months ago

@MONKEY POST.Didn’t see the first goal he conceded but the second one will beat the best goalkeeper in the world.
My assessment,he had a fabulous shift. He was quick, good on his feet, nice reflexes and good command of his area.
Conceding a couple of goals doesn’t make you a bad goalkeeper you have to check if he was at fault besides Nigerian defence where all over the place, the poor pitch also didn’t help. But we won and have secured a place for the next Afcon. It’s not easy most sides like Morocco,Ivory Coast,Tunisia lost even Ghana couldn’t beat Madagascar so football has improved in most parts of Africa winning doesn’t come easy anymore.

      • Ndubest 11 months ago

@Greenturf you have spoken well the keeper did well. He will improve with time. This guy is good if not better than others

  • Ayphillydegreat 11 months ago

Thank God we won finally. Adebayo was decent but we still need to see more of him. We have a huge problem in midfield apart from Iwobi. Omeruo is getting old and slowly losing pace. Ebuehi should be in this team. Attack is still our only hope. Osimhen will break records, but Chukwueze is losing it in the final third. Hopefully, we’ll see more options before the AFCON proper. Congratulations to the team for qualifying.

    • Greenturf 11 months ago

We need to see Sarki from the under 20.That lad is way better than Chukwueze. Our coach is not good at spotting talents.

    • Sunnyb 11 months ago

Bro I’m saying this again, convert Aina and Ebuehi to midfielders, these two players are very mobile, skillful and highly technical, Ndidi has no ball sense Gra gra or with power doesn’t make u a good player. Let’s Aina, Ebuehi and Iwobi combo in the midfield.

  • JimmyBall 11 months ago

Since 2020 I knew Musa had nothing left to offer the team. He is just a selfish gworo player now… He keeps forcing himself using political influence on the coach and yet he is contended to just sit on the bench. I never saw a professional footballer who should now out with respect and allow younger players space like he enjoyed when he bloomed has no shame or dignity. Let him keep collecting invite to come sit on the bench. Lastly Peseiro is just an agidi coach. Lol…

  • Omo9ja 11 months ago

To God be the glory. Congratulations to us. But the truth must be told kę.

I said this before the match and I am still maintaining my point here again.

The coach should be replaced. Some of the players have nothing to do with this team.

The current NFF members should be dismantled.

If we have to move forward then we have to do things accordingly.

Chukwueze is not a reliable player. He needs to be serious a little bit more.

That said. There’s no difference between Oga Rohr and Oga Paseiro. Late substitutions.

I am not expecting too much from Super Eagles under the new gaffer and the Nigeria Football Federation. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • see the difference playing three 3 men in midfield brings to the team instead of two 2. i think the starting eleven was good. the only thing is that certain players didnt play to expectation e.g chukwueze. with more talented players being invited to the team and with better formations like the one used today, the team will improve. osimhen and iheanacho are the major goal threat we have upfront. we need more players that can take the pressure of them.

  • Well i think we all need to calm down. Again these players play a more attacking brand of football a far departure of how we play with fear under rohr in his latter stage as eagles coach. Now the issue i have with pesiero is that he although we do not have the best of players, he shouod be able to identify atleast the best among our players whether local or abroad and test them in matches. Thst said i expect him to experiment with new players in the last game against sao tome & principe. Hopefully a gift orban can replace simon and this other guy that was part of the europa team can become the very brighter attacking 8 to complement osimhen and lastly we need to find a very good defensive midfielder locally majorly to replace Ndidi who is already finished.

Lastly, why i said you people need to calm down is because from the last couple of matches we can create multiple chances meaning we only need someone like boniface working eith iwobi to properly opening up the defence for osimhen.
I believe we will do well if we have better players in these places i mentioned so the current players in those spaces will serve as back up.

So let us all cslm down.

    • Edoman 11 months ago

@Kenny. Thankyou. Bring in Gift Oban & victor Boniface. all the problems will be solved. Ndidi is a tired legs and a share waste of time. Samu is only good for his Club in Spain not in the National Team. The Goalkeeper is too short to face an opponent like Ghana or Morocco Teams in AFCON. If it wasn’t for Osimhen today, Nigeria would have the lost the match as l predicted before this game. Omerua is an old man. There is a rumor going on that Omerua is about 40 years old while he can’t run no more. This coach can never take this team to the promise Land.

    • Ndidi is only 26 years and undroppable. Nigeria is so stuck with him. I weep for Nigeria. We can’t drop those dead weights as we are owing 20 matches bonuses. So the players own us as Akande used to write here. Nations cup is next January and friendlies between now and then are less than 4. So who is blending new players?

  • Papafem 11 months ago

It is always wrong and risky to hastily conclude that Orban is better than Simon until Orban joins the team and performs better than Simon is currently doing. Today, Simon Moses was one of our best players. Orban wouldn’t have performed better. Let’s appreciate our players because it is not easy to win a game in Africa, especially when playing away. South Africa defeated Morocco, Tunisia lost to Equatorial Guinea, Senegal had a tough time against Benin, and Zambia beat Ivory Coast convincingly. These are top teams in Africa losing against teams considered weaker. Now that we’ve qualified, hopefully, the coach will rest a lot of players who played today and invite the likes of Orban. Then we can begin to make our judgenrnt after seeing them play.

    • @Papafem, the players mentioned are based on some ingredient missing in the current players we have that they have. For simon and chukwueze they don’t have the crossing techniques nor score goals with either of those legs confortably and in some very uncomfortable area, but they maybe good at charging at opponents, i believe by now they should have grown that area of their game because all their runs without these things are useless, these are things we have seen orban do he scores dome unbelievable goals from any angle and laces good passes too which is why osimhen had to do the hardwork of working out his goals by himself. However i expected a better & technical Ademola to have come in for chukwueze that second half.

All in all for me i see prospect with their attacking play just that coach need to do more searching for better players. Majority of the players are finidhed and they are too old with their falsesified age telling on them and their match rustiness due to bench role in their club.

  • If you go through pesiero’s interview carefully and read between the lines you will understand that his hands are tied by the NFF to select certain players…..He said and I quote…..” I visited Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium with my pocket and I know the good players”…….he is indirectly telling you that he knows our best players and he is in contact with them but the satanic NFF is armtwisting him to play their own script…… Nigeria na cruise Las Las.
