Marco Silva says Everton have rejected Paris Saint-Germain’s reported £21.5million bid to sign Idrissa Gana Gueye this week.
But, although Everton insist Gueye is not for sale, the 29-year-old is understood to be keen to make the move to the Ligue 1 champions.
“We have rejected the offer,” said Silva at his Monday press conference. “He is a really important player for us. We don’t put anyone on the market. We don’t think about losing him in this market.”

PSG could come back with an improved bid in the next three days to test Everton’s resolve as they put their main transfer market focus on strengthening their midfield.
Gueye has been an automatic choice in Everton’s midfield since arriving two-and-a-half years ago for £7.6m from Aston Villa.
“For some clubs to come here to buy our players they have to really [meet] the value of the player,” added Silva. “For this price I cannot see the value.
“You know my opinion since the first day you started speaking about this possible offer. From a technical point of view, as a manager, he is a really important player for us and he is one player we don’t think to lose in this market.”
