Silva To Make Decision On Iwobi’s Readiness For Everton Vs Watford

Everton manager Marco Silva will make a decision on the readiness of Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi for Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Watford at the Goodison Park, reports Completesports.com.

Iwobi joined the Toffees on a five- year contract from Arsenal last week but only started training with the club this week.

Reacting to a question on Iwobi’s readiness to make his debut during his pre-match conference ahead of the visit of Watford to the Merseyside this weekend, Silva says it’s up to him to decide if the player will be in the squad or not

“It’s a matter of putting him (Iwobi) in the best physical condition possible,” Silva told reporters.

“He’s started with the team, it was a difficult week for him, just as it was with JP Gbamin the previous week. But it’s what it is and you have to put them in the best condition.

“He’s working really hard and well, like all the others, and it’s up to me to decide if he will be in the squad list.”
