  • Two games played and involvement in two goals point to signal that Moses Simon has the potential to set the French league alight modestly this season.

The job of a forward is to be involved directly or indirectly in goals thus the Super Eagles winger is not disappointing which goes to show that his decision to leave Spain could well be an inspired one.

Simon earned a rating of 7.64 for his performance this weekend, an 8% increase from his rating of 7.47 last week.

Kenneth Omeruo followed up an inspiring performance last week with a slightly sturdier showing yesterday although the outcome was the same for his team – a defeat.

The now-first choice Super Eagles centre back will be hoping for the fortune of his team to improve just as his rating of 6.82 is a 14% uplift from his 6.0 rating of last week.

The performances of Paderborn is slightly at odds with the individual ratings of left back Jamilu Collins who has dipped in ratings while he team recorded a much needed 1:1 draw following a 3:1 defeat last week.

Rated an impressive 7.08 last week, Jamilu rated 6.81 yesterday, a drop of -4%.

Idowu’s recall to the national team is another factor Jamilu should be aware of a strong showing for Idowu for Nigeria and Locomotive Moscow (in the Champions League) could threaten Collins automatic starting berths for the Super Eagles.

I watched Moses last night and he was at his best, dribbling, perfectly timed crosses, runs at the opposing defence, ferocious shorts with both feats and was well rewarded with the assist. Good decision leaving Spain bro
